Miscarriage : Good or bad sign?
Q: hi me and my partner were TTC for 8months on our 9th month i got pregnant, i miscarried at 8weeks now 3months on of still trying and NO LUCK! :(Should i take my miscarriage as ..oh i got pregnant once it will happen again? Or should i take it as ..i cant have a baby is there something wrong with me?
A: No if you had a miscarriage it is always possible that you’ll get pregnant again and next time more than likely it’ll be healthy. I had an ectopic pregnancy the first time around and they told me my chances of getting pregnant again were very slim and I got pregnant in April unfortunately it was a miscarriage but the doctors told me that was a good sign now we know that I can have a normal pregnancy so keep trying I’m sure it’ll happen.
Is this a bad sign of impending miscarriage?
Q: Hi, I am 7 weeks pregnant gestation dating from my last period. But I have long cycles and I am pretty sure I ovulated like around day 23 to 24 of my cycle really late. So I think Im really only about almost 4 weeks pregnant from conception. I went in for my first u/s yesterday and they saw a gestational sac and a yolk sac but no baby yet. Could it still be too early to see a heartbeat for me? I feel fine so far no signs of miscarriage. How long does it usually take from CONCEPTION to see a hearbeat?
A: i too ovulated very very late and i think on about cd24 of my cycle. my lmp dated me about 10 days ahead of where i really was, as i was on a 38 day cycle and they put you on a 28. if you take this into account, you are most likely coming up for 6 weeks pregnant and are most likely in the middle of your 5th week.many many successful healthy pregnancies will show a gestational sac and no heartbeat at 5 – 6 weeks pregnant. if you go back in two weeks most likely you will see a heartbeat. they will then arrange a dating scan at about 8 weeks to correctly date your pregnancy by measuring from an internal ultrasound.i think if you are 5w + a few days, you dont need to worry at all that you saw only a sac. just hold out for your next appt and that should clear up what is happening. try not to worry it most likely is a dating issue and all is well. xx
