Q: First of all, Im asking this for a friend, im nearly 32 weeks pregnant and baby is doing great! But my friend is nearly 10 weeks pregnant, last night she had a bleed which lasted an hour, she went up to the hospital where the bleeding stopped and they arranged to give her a scan tommorrow morning. A: I bled a number of times during my pregnancy and now have a 21 month old.That being said I lost 3 times before I had my daughter and after each one I still had pregnancy symptoms for a while. Should I be worried about a miscarriage since I dont have any “morning” sickness or nausea?

Q: I am 2 months pregnant tomorrow and I havent had any nausea at all… I read that you are more likely to have a miscarriage if there is not any signs of that. Plus, I feel slight cramping iny my stomache, my sister thats my stomache adjusting to the change but is it associated with the miscarriage. This is my first child and I am scared! I am figuring out my doctors and stuff this week (since i just found out last wendsday) but I am still scared. Can anyone help me?

A: Well, I had the same problem with my 2nd pregnancy. I’m not saying that my situation is similar to yours. I am just telling you my experience and giving some advice. It is nothing to worry about at this stage. Anyway, I didnt get any symptoms of pregnancy besides a missed period which was what led me to get a pregnancy test in the first place ( I was already 1 month pregnant at the time). It came out positive but the lack of symptoms continued. Soon after about 1.5 months into the first trimester, I started to spot and went to the doctors. I had blood work done, but by then the bleeding got darker. At the end, I ended up miscarriaing. The results of the blood test came to late which determined that I didn’t have enough Progesterone to “carry” the pregnancy. This hormone is what holds the pregnancy and a lack of it results in the lack of symptoms like nausea, etc. This was my case. I dont know what yours is but if I were you, I wouldn’t mind expressing my concern and simply asking them about your progesterone levels. It’s better to be safe than sorry. If the doc tells you that the levels are fine and there is nothing to worry about then thats great! You are probably one of the luck gals who dont experience all that uncomfortable stuff. If it is low, don’t worry, there are easy treatments for it that replace your body of the progesterone that your body may not be producing on its own. Good luck!

Q: I’m not sure if I have lost my baby or not, but we were unable to locate a heart beat after being able to find one the previous week. I know you can still have pregnancy symptoms even after a miscarriage because of the hormones still in your body….but my question is: can you still feel the “stretching” feelings in your stomach and cervix/uterus even after the baby has died?I still have morning sickness, sore boobs….but also the same stretching feelings as I have my whole pregnancy.I go back next week to either confirm a miscarriage or to find a miracle heartbeat but wondered about the stretching and thought I would try to get some feedback.Thank ya’ll!!
