A: 1.29 million performed13,000 were because of rape or incest.I’ve actually read elsewhere that about 2% of abortions performed are because of rape/incest or the health of the mother.Sad, really.
Why is it that am taking too long to concieve yet am always with my husband, we always have sex 2, 3 a week.?
Q: It is now 7 month trying to concieve after last year june miscarriage, how many times should i have sex per week.
A: Have sex every day leading up to ovulation and during ovulation. That’s the way to do it. If you miss ovulation you won’t get pregnant.
Wondering what people who use the rape pregnancy excuse for abortion think of this?
Q: Now for the important question. How many rape pregnancies are there? The answer is that, according to statistical reporting, there are no more than one or two pregnancies resultant from every 1,000 forcible rapes. But, does it make sense? Let’s look, using the figure of 200,000 rapes each year. * Of the 200,000 women who were forcibly raped, one-third were either too old or too young to get pregnant. That leaves 133,000 at risk for pregnancy. * A woman is capable of being fertilized only 3 days (perhaps 5) out of a 30-day month. Multiply our figure of 133,000 by three tenths. Three days out of 30 is one out of ten, divide 133 by ten and we have 13,300 women remaining. If we use five days out of 30 it is one out of six. Divide one hundred and thirty three thousand by six and we have 22,166 remaining. * One-fourth of all women in the United States of childbearing age have been sterilized, so the remaining three-fourths come out to 10,000 (or 15,000). * Only half of assailants penetrate her body and/or deposit sperm in her vagina,1 so let’s cut the remaining figures in half. This gives us numbers of 5,000 (or 7,500). * Fifteen percent of men are sterile, that drops that figure to 4,250 (or 6,375). * Fifteen percent of non-surgically sterilized women are naturally sterile. That reduces the number to 3,600 (or 5,400). * Another fifteen percent are on the pill and/or already pregnant. That reduces the number to 3,070 (or 4,600). * Now factor in the fact that it takes 5-10 months for the average couple to achieve a pregnancy. Use the smaller figure of 5 months to be conservative and divide the avove figures by 5. The number drops to 600 (or 920). * In an average population, the miscarriage rate is about 15 percent. In this case we have incredible emotional trauma. Her body is upset. Even if she conceives, the miscarriage rate will be higher than in a more normal pregnancy. If 20 percent of raped women miscarry, the figure drops to 450 (or 740).There are:UNITED STATESNumber of abortions per year: 1.37 Million (1996)Number of abortions per day: Approximately 3,700 WORLDWIDENumber of abortions per year: Approximately 42 MillionNumber of abortions per day: Approximately 115,000
A: A lot of statistics there – if only all women that are raped actually report – they don’t there are many reasons for not reporting it, fear of that creep it did in the first place, fear of not being believed – many reasons. Evidently, you are pro life – I respect that. However, have you ever thought about it from a survivors point of view. After a traumatic event (and everyone reacts and feels differently – there are no guidlines on how to feel and cope) which vary, some can be by someone they trusted, some are extremly violent and degrading. Then having the strength to go on living even though some feel it hurts to even breathe; could you imagine the agony of finding out that you are pregnant because of it. I give a lot of respect to those who keep their babies – but those who don’t, I can understand and I would support that decision. What it comes down to; is what each individaul can live; some can’t live with having it growing inside of them, each kick, each contraction reminding how it was concieved. The baby being born; what if the baby looks like the pervert? Again, totally respect of women who can do that but not everyone is the same. I don’t believe that any female loves the idea of abortion – but sometimes its the only thing that stop them from ending their life. I am pro choice – I know what I believe in and sense that you are a good person – just try have some compassion for someone who has gone through something like this and don’t look at statistics as a way to simplfiy an issue – as suroviving rape is not simple. Have some compassion
