What does a 7 week miscarriage look like?
Q: I went to the doctor for my prenatal check up a couple days ago and i was supposed to be 12 weeks but we found on the ultrasound that there was no fetal heartbeat and our precious angel had passed away at 7 weeks 1 day. I have just started bleeding last night a little and cramping but I haven’t passed anything yet. What I want to know is what does a miscarriage of 7 weeks look like and will I actually pass a tiny little fetus or will it be just tissue. My husband and I would like to prepare a burial for the little life that we made together and we just want to know if there will be any type of remains to bury or just tissue. I apologize if this question is a little too much information and possibly disturbing to some. It is just that we feel that regardless of how young our little one was, he or she was still a life and we want to do something that is respectful of our little angel. Thank you for all answers and God bless.
A: I am so sorry for your loss. Most likely it will be a tissue in the form of a sac.
They said it was a likely miscarriage?
Q: Well, if you have read past posts than you should know what has happened. I found out I was PG friday after I passed agreyish looknig clot that I assumed was pregnancy sign and now I am pretty sure it was my baby. I went to teh ER and my Beta levels were at a 47, to low, they said it was either to early in the pregnancy or at the end of a miscarraige. I had 3 ultrasounds. 2 of which show that my uterine lining is thickened and the way they described it, an indefinte embryo. When I asked the doctor if it could jsut be to early, he said that he HAS seen weirder things. But it looks like a miscarriage. I go for a folluw up tomorrow jsut to confirm it. I don’t get it. I had no cramping, no bleeding and only staining on TP. how the hell could I have had a miscarriage. They checked my cervix and said it was closed… is their hope. Pobably not… but I am so heartbroken. But that means I should get PG pretty quick…right… I am not spotting today anymore. and barely yesterday… do u thinthink the doctors got it right, could it still be to early? My urine test was negative. But friday it was postive, i heard and read and know that hospital PG tests aren’t as sensitive… what does anyone have to say? Iknow it probably was a miscarriage…but how, when? He said I will only bleed when Iam passing the tissue…but my cervix is still closedI don’t get it… I just went to the ER to my mind at ease only to e told something I was scared of but didn’t really expect… if my beta was 47 yesterday that means I must have tested postive with a hpt with a level of close to 20…isn’t that to early to est postive with urine (only answer if you KNOW)
A: Extremely early miscarriage is the same as a period and very common. There is no telling how many women have them early because most assume it’s just a period. It’s nothing you did and nothing you could stop, it just happens. It also doesn’t mean anything about your fertility or ability to safely carry a pregnancy to term. I had one a little over a year ago and am now 17wks pregnant. An ultrasound really isn’t accurate until around 6wks. Before that they can only see what could be this or could be that. I would wait it out and not give up hope until you know for sure. It sounds like you are between 3-4wks at this point since you are getting mixed results on tests.Good luck and I hope everything turns out ok.Some hpts can come up as low at 15, hospitals and doctors often use tests that come up closer to 50.http://www.peeonastick.com/hpts.html
Couple questions about pregnancy and miscarriage….?
Q: I found out I was pregnant on 6-20-07, when I went to my first visit with the obgyn, they said that they couldn’t see anything and I was having a miscarriage, around 6 weeks. I did a few days later pass some blood, a few days I was bleeding, my question is how do I know that everything has for sure passed? Also I have still not got my period? My last concern is my boobs just started feeling sore again, is it possible I am pregnant again, without even getting my period, can I even get pregnant if everything has not passed yet. What does it look like when you have a miscarriage at 6 weeks, is it just blood, sorry for all the questions I am new at this..
A: A miscarriage at six weeks would be almost exactly like a regular period. Yes, you could have ovulated again and gotten pregnant right away. I miscarried at 7 weeks and my period got right back on track. The thing is, you’ll have to wait for quite a few more weeks to test, since hormones from the miscarriage might still be in your system if you take a pregnancy test.
