How can you cure a dog who always throws up at night?
Q: I need help… my dog always throws up when she’s finished drinking water and at night. It happens every single day and I feel like I should do something about it. If you guys can help find a cure for my dog I’d really apperciate it!! ~thanks!!
A: I don’t like sounding mean, but if anything seems abnormal with your dog, such as throwing up frequently, you should take her to an experienced vet. We are not vets, ((Ok, maybe some of us are)) so you need to take your dog for a vet to make sure that it isn’t something too serious. My beloved dog Kanga died on Saturday. He had been throwing up a lot at night, and it turns out he had canine lymphoma. I want to help prevent this from happening in your dog, although i highly doubt she has it. If you were throwing up evety night, you would probably go to the doctor, wouldn’t you???
My Bloodhound puppy is 9 months old. Almost every time he drinks water he throws it back up.?
Q: When he throws up it is only water and slime and the occasional kibble. he is on good dog food DIAMOND CHICKEN AND RICE NATURALS, we do have well water (this is a new switch from our rural water). I herd of BLAP DISEASE, but don’t know what it is or how i can cure it. he has a raised water dish but he is about 2 foot tall and the dish is about 1 foot tall. Should i try a Water Bottle?
A: I raise bloodhounds, and I can tell you that this is not a common problem with them, at all.As you have stated, you raise the dishes.. and that is the best you can do for him at that point. But he DOES need to see a vet. This is not normal behaviour. If he is drink too fast, or eating too fast, then you need to give him water in very small quantities, and allow NO excersize after he has eaten. As I am sure you know, a common problem with them is bloat, and eliminating ANY exercise after they have eaten/drank will reduce problems along those lines. But vomitting food and water is not normal.Take him to the vet.If you have any more questions about bloodhounds, feel free to email me and I’d be very happy to [email protected]
