Recent miscarriage, Hormones back to normal yet still having pregnancy symptoms?
Q: I had a miscarriage 2weeks ago, 6 days after i went for my bloods done for a 3rd time and they confirmed the worst ( i had miscarried ) the midwife said they were back down to 0 the bleeding also stopped 4 days after it started it was basically like a period with the minor cramping at the start. Ive heard that you can still have symptoms untill your hormones go back to normal. Its been a week and a day since my hormone levels were back to 0 and i still have constipation, a bloated and firm belly, aches and pains, lots of cervical mucus and heartburn! Ive heard of some women having periods during pregnancy with clots ect as part of their lining had come away could this be what has happened to me? Could i still be pregnant? My belly still feels like i am and im still tired all the time. If i had a period would my hormone levels go and then come back again afterwards? Im soo confused
A: Sorry to hear what you are going through. I went through a really similar situation when I had a miscarriage. I was 9 weeks gone when it happened, my bloods showed no trace of pregnancy hormone but I was still having the symptoms I had been having. Although I knew the baby was gone, I had seen it with my own eyes, I had myself convinced I was having twins and had only miscarried one baby. I went back to my doctor and asked the same question “Am I still pregnant” and she said no, with no trace of the pregnancy hormone in your blood you are definitely not pregnant. I’m sure the same applies even if you’ve had a bleed. I’m so sorry and hope you have the strength to try for another baby soon.
Pregnancy symptoms after miscarriage?
Q: I’m not sure if I have lost my baby or not, but we were unable to locate a heart beat after being able to find one the previous week. I know you can still have pregnancy symptoms even after a miscarriage because of the hormones still in your body….but my question is: can you still feel the “stretching” feelings in your stomach and cervix/uterus even after the baby has died?I still have morning sickness, sore boobs….but also the same stretching feelings as I have my whole pregnancy.I go back next week to either confirm a miscarriage or to find a miracle heartbeat but wondered about the stretching and thought I would try to get some feedback.Thank ya’ll!!
A: Symptoms of a miscarriage include: * Vaginal bleeding that may be light or heavy, constant or irregular. Although bleeding is often the first sign of a miscarriage, first-trimester bleeding may also occur with a normal pregnancy. But bleeding with pain is a sign that miscarriage is more likely. * Pain. You may have pelvic cramps, abdominal pain, or a persistent, dull ache in your lower back. Pain may start a few hours to several days after bleeding has begun. * Blood clots or grayish (fetal) tissue passing from the vagina. It is not always easy to tell whether a miscarriage is taking place. A miscarriage often does not occur as a single event but as a chain of events over several days. One woman’s physical experience of a miscarriage can be very different from another woman’s experience. For more information on pregnancy related issues visit my free websiteshttp://birthdefectcauses.blogspot.comhttp://www.pregnancy-guidelines.com
Can you have a miscarriage without the pain? How long before a miscarriage do the pregnancy symptoms stop?
Q: It is said that there is pain, almost like menstrual cramping with bleeding after a miscarriage but what if there is no pain? does that mean that there was a miscarriage still?
A: Everyone is different–but with my miscarriage it started with brown discharge for about 3 days then on the fourth day, I woke up a bloody mess and had cramps worse than anyone could ever imagine. I was only about 5 weeks along. The bleeding lasted about 4-5 days. I ended up having more brown spotting/discharge about 2 weeks after the bleeding stopped..then had my next period exactly 28 days after the miscarriage. ;[
