Probably seem just like a very heavy period. If you think or know you lost the baby, it is better to go see a doctor to make sure everything is clear, and nothing got left behind to cause an infection.

How long after taking birth control pills should I get my period?
Q: I just started taking Ovcon 50mg once a day and it’s been a couple of days now.I want to know if you can tell me when I should be getting my period? I haven’t had mine since November because I get irregular periods and have pcos which pretty much causes all this stuff that is going on with me. We tried and ttc but no such luck and I didn’t want to go through with any fertility treatment because we (my husband and I) wanted to try naturally because we did before with no help, but unfortunately we found out I have a rare blood type also. I am RH- which means I had to get a shot so my blood wouldn’t try to destroy the baby if he/she had a positive blood type. Then after being eight weeks pregnant I had a miscarriage last March. After a few months went by we tried again for a while but all this was just stressing me out and upsetting me even worst so I decided to let my obgyn know that I wasn’t quite ready yet and she put me on bc called Ovcon, she said it should help with my cysts and cycles, plus hormones. does any one know when I’ll be getting my period after taking ovcon for a couple of days?
A: You should get your period at the end of the month on the placebo pills, not during the active pills. Read the info that came with them for details. It could be 3-4 days into the last week of pills that you get your period.
I’m pregnant (4weeks/2 days) after a miscarriage in Sept. Do I need to take any special precautions?
Q: I miscarried in Sept at 11 weeks and now that I’m pregnant again I’m very worried about the past repeating itself. I know 1/5 pregnancies ends in miscarriage but I was still heartbroken and will do anything in my power for it to not happen again. I have TriCare, so I can’t see my OBGYN until I’m eight weeks, so do you know of any special precautions I need to take? I’m not excercising strenusouly, lifting anything heavy, taking prenatals, and eating right. Anything else? Thanks!!!
A: Sounds like your doing everything right. Try to relax and focus on giving birth to a healthy, full term baby. Sometimes positive thinking will go along way. 🙂
Miscarriage Mystery…How Can It Be?
Q: My hubby asked that i share to see if anyone may have gone through what i have or may have some idea to our little mystery. So late October we found out we were pregnant with our second baby. My symptoms were very much the usual, tender areas, sickness, tired and cravings. We went to have an ultrasound done around seven weeks. We knew it was early but they went ahead and took a look. I was nervous, as most mothers are no matter how many times you’ve done it, but this time there was nothing to calm my fear. They found a sac but no baby, no heart beat, nothing. A week later again no baby or heartbeat. They gave me all the information on miscarriage and it was not a waiting game. Sure enough at nine weeks,Dec 2o, I went home from work in horribly familiar pains, cramping and small contractions. The next morning I woke up needing to use the bathroom and there it was. I did what I thought was necessary and saved the “sample”, as they call it, and called my hubby. We went in to the hospital that afternoon. Test after test I went through and after hours of waiting they confirmed the sample and the miscarriage. An hour long ultrasound session confirmed that nothing was left (their opinion since I couldn’t watch) and after more tests and a long wait a nurse who had just clocked on sent me off with a prescription they did not explain to me. For two days I took this medication which caused horrible contractions and followed their instructions to call a OBGYN they recommended to me. After one last check up and a blood test (and finding out they were to prescribe me pain killers for the medication I was on) I went home relieved it was finally over. I was heartbroken and in a state of shock from all i had to go through in just a few days. My hubby and I had a short time to relax until the bills starting pouring in. Then the stress began. I hardly had time to mourn the baby I never really had. January rolled around and we celebrated our sons birthday as well as the new year. Late January we were to go away with some friends. I wasn’t feeling very well and something inside me gave me a very familiar feeling. I asked my hubby if he thought it would be silly of me to take a pregnancy test. He said no and so the twenty second of January I took the test. Sure enough it confirmed my feeling, it was positive. I wasn’t sure if I should be excited or scared. It had been about five weeks since the miscarriage…maybe my levels were still reading high? We estimated if I got pregnant after the miscarriage I could only be a few weeks along so we waited…the longest wait of my life. Finally, at about ten weeks since the miscarriage, and what we assumed would be week seven or eight, we went in for another ultrasound. Having only one insurance at the time and loads of bills we used a local pregnancy center. Again I was a ball of nerves. Would there be a baby? Would it be too early to tell if it was there or had a heart beat? I was shaking. They did the usual protocol, starting with a tummy, and informing me they would probably have to do a pelvic. I was used to this and prepared myself for whatever popped up on the screen. But nothing, and I mean NOTHING, could prepare me for what I saw. She put the device to my tummy and there it was…A little face, body, arms, hands…EVERYTHING! It stared back at us like it was just waiting to be discovered. All my fears washed away, starting at my head and leaving out my toes. My hubby’s face lit up and the nurse let out a squeel of surprise. She moved around to get a look at our little surprise and it happened…the baby started moving. I grabbed my hubby’s arm and he stared mouth wide open. The nurse found it’s heart and it too was beating away. I was in too much shock to cry all though everything in me wanted to. The shock wasn’t over yet. After a good examination and measuring the computer put the numbers together and up popped the most shocking of news. Our baby read measured at ten weeks old. The development, heartbeat, size..it all measured at ten weeks. But how? It put our due date at Sep 24…but that would make the date of conception Dec 18. How is that? Well there you have it. We have plan to go back to the OBGYN we saw after the miscarriage. But for now anyone who may have any idea how such a tragedy can become such a blessing feel free to comment. As of now only God knows
A: That`s such a sad/happy story. It seems impossible and like a miracle. I hope you enjoy your babys 🙂
