I was told one is more fertile after a miscarriage but how? do you ovulate more than once or?
Q: I was told one is more fertile after a miscarriage but how? do you ovulate more than once or?I thought that you only ovulate once in a month so how can one be more fertile after miscarriage?Help im confused!
A: It’s to do with the hormones still being left over and that making it easier to fall pregnant again. It doesn’t refer to how often you might ovulate. What it really means is that you can get pregnant again before you’ve even had a period. So say you had a m/c on the 1st of the month you could in theory ovulate again a few weeks later, especially if it was an early miscarriage. So you could be pregnant again within a month. However, it can also take a while to ovulate again, especially if the pregnancy was further on.
will i be more fertile after miscarriage and why?
Q: Hi, had a miscarriage a couple of wekks ago and have started trying for another baby (as i feel myself and hubby are ready), and heard a rumour that you are more fertile after miscarriage. is this true? also, if i get pregnant again, will i have the same symptoms of pregnancy as last time or can they be different? Thanks.x
A: I am very sorry for your loss. You are more fertile after a miscarriage. I had a miscarriage at the end of April, I was told by my OBGYN that I will be very fertile for the 3 months after my miscarriage. Pregnancy symptoms differ with each person, as well as with each pregnancy. The pregnancy symptoms that you had with your first pregnancy, may not be the same for your next pregnancy. If you are ready to start to BD, go for it :)I have heard of MANY people who have gotten pregnant again before they even got their AF after the miscarriage!GOOD LUCK…BABY DUST FOR US!
I heard that you are more fertile after a miscarriage but how is that if you only ovulate once in a month?
Q: Ok maybe this sounds stupid question but I always thought that you only ovulate once in a month so how can I be more fertile after a miscarriage?I had missed miscarriage on 5th dec and am ttc again
A: Personally I think that this is a myth. I’ve never heard any science or reason behind it, even though the What to Expect web site even mentions this. The good news is that in most cases, your fertility is not worse after a miscarriage either. The randomness of getting pregnant is so frustrating, especially after a miscarriage. You can best increase your chances by having sex every day during your fertile window (or all month if you aren’t tracking ovulation). Drinking lots of water also helps produce cervical mucus, which may help some women. Charting is great too, so read the book “Taking Charge of Your Fertility” by Toni Weschler for more information.Good luck! I know it’s frustrating, but you’ll forget all that frustration the second you see those two pink lines. 🙂
