Is a tongue piercing painful to disinfect every day after being pierced?
Q: Well i am planning on getting a tongue piercing and i was wondering if it stings when you disinfect it regularly so it won’t get infected… And i heard that my tongue would swell for a week or maybe more … seriously is it that painful?
A: It’s almost like every other piercing, but it’s in the mouth which has more bacteria. I suggest rinsing your mouth 4-6 times a day with salt water. Don’t use mouthwash, because that contains alcohol, in which will dry out your piercing. Gooooood luck with the piercing. :)ps. salt water doesn’t hurt, if it does at all, it’s a tiny unpainful sting. don’t worry.
