- A: Check with a spa in your area that specializes in beauty treatments (chemical peels, laser treatments, botox, etc.). If they do not perform the laser tatoo removal there, they may be able to refer you to someone who does. I warn you though, mine was very painful and expensive. It is not something that is done in one appointment - it can take up to a year or two depending on how deep the ink is (every 8 weeks). It may or may not scar - mine didn't and that's the reason for getting laser - it's not supposed to scar, but it can if the tatoo is very deep. Another method would be to check with the local tatoo artists and see if any of them tatoo with lemon juice. This is a method of removal also, and I've heard it works great on indian ink.
