do hair dryers damage your hair more than straightening it?
Q: is hair drying every day worse than straightening my hair every day?
A: If used correctly and infrequently in conjunction with a heat protectant, they will cause little damage (as any other hot tool). The device must be held at least 1″ from the hair and the latter must not be dripping wet. Excessive blow drying or using the blow dryer too close to the hair or scalp will cause scorching (heat accumulation) and hair or scalp damage.
