I was looking at the current WWE roster and started thinking about some dream matches I would love to see. Here are a few.
Brodus Clay and Mark Henry versus Big Show and Kane.
I’m not sure if the ring would hold up to these four wrestlers, but it would be fun to watch. Kane and Big Show have a major axe to grind with Mark Henry, and adding Brodus Clay in the mix would even things out. There won’t be a lot of grappling, but I’m sure there would be a lot of pain.
Mason Ryan versus Sheamus.
Ryan is one of my favorite wrestlers – he reminds of the days of Brock Lester, Goldberg, and Bastista. Since Sheamus and Mason Ryan are now faces this match won’t happen for a while, but if one of them turns bad watching these two huge, athletic wrestlers go at it would be one memorable match.
Karma versus the entire Diva roster.
Remember Karma? After weeks of hype about her, she never wrestled once, and I think it was because there isn’t a Diva that could believably beat her. Although the WWE ruined things by having her come out crying, stating she was picked on in her childhood and was leaving because she was pregnant; she could come back and tear through every female wrestler they throw at her. She could probably clear a ring of every Diva in the WWE, and beat half the male light weight wrestlers in one on one competition. If she comes back, just give her the Diva Belt and save the Diva holding it much pain and suffering.
John Cena versus Wade Barrett.
This is about nothing but revenge. After suffering through the “Nexus” era and seeing Cena embarrassed every week at the hands of Barrett, Cena never really got proper revenge. And to make the match ugly, add something like a tables, ladders, and chairs match just to turn things up a notch.
Miz versus C.M. Punk.
Although this match was on this past Monday Night Raw, R Truth was at the ringside and interfered. I want to see a one on one match with no outside influence, and making this a TLC match would put a cherry on top. Seeing these 2 smart asses going at it would be a treat.
Cody Rhodes versus Zack Ryder.
It would go like this; Cody Rhodes comes out and blah, blah, blah – picks on Ryder by telling him how dumb his persona is while pushing him around. Ryder would then lose that “Woo Woo, you know it” image, take off Rhode’s mask and beat him with it. Having the refs come out to stop Ryder from killing Rhodes would be a bonus.
Evan Bourne and Kofi Kingston versus Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara in a steel cage match.
The high flying acrobatics alone would be worth it, but to see these 4 guys launching themselves off the side of the cage onto their opponents would make this match a must see. Rey Mysterio’s “619” move won’t be possible due to lack of space between the ropes and the cage, which would make the match more interesting.
Hopefully we will see these matches sometime down the road.
