Why Herman Cain is the Republican Candidate Who Can Defeat President Obama in 2012

It’s sad to say, but Herman Cain is the only candidate battling for the Republican Presidential Nomination that can actually defeat Barack Obama in the 2012 Presidential Election. The other candidates are made up of an island of misfit politicians.

Mitt Romney, the tall handsome man from Utah, is a well known flip flopper. Although a great intellectual and top notch debater, Romney cannot deny changing his views on several subjects over the last several years. He is seen as a puppet for the establishment.

Texas Governor Rick Perry rode a small wave of popularity, but that quickly fell to shore. He came in with a lot of noise, but quickly faded when he started stumbling at live events. Recently, he flubbed his lines in a CNBC debate and also showed up inebriated to a speech in New Hampshire. Oh how the mighty have fallen.

Both Rick Santorum and Jon Huntsman are both failing due to a lack of exposure and inability to capture the audience. Santorum seems to have a bright future if he stays in the political game. Neither has gotten enough wind beneath their sails to make an honest bid.

Former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, has a great personality but some sketchy policies. Often during the debates, Newt would come off more as a stand up comedian than a guy who is seriously considering a presidential bid. In addition, his political past may deter a lot of new voters who are looking for that “change” in American government.

Michele Bachman had a slight push very early in her campaign but quickly lost any momentum. I think the Republican Party was excited about having a woman as their choice, since Hilary Clinton was very popular during the 2008 elections. However, she quickly fell to the waist because of her ethics, politics and downright boring personality. That accounts for a lot to casual voters.

Representative Ron Paul would be the ideal candidate if he could get the mainstream media to follow him. His views and politics are clear and precisely what America needs. The only thing holding Paul back, in addition to the lack of media coverage, is his standards of public speaking. He needs to bring forth a stronger voice with a lot more mainstream friendly tag lines. The man has proven to be completely independent, despite running on the Republican ticket. If Ron Paul could get over a few hurdles, he would be the best choice.

However, at this point it’s Herman Cain that would be the best Republican candidate for the Presidential Election in 2012. And here is why.

Herman Cain can capture an audience. He has proven that in the recent debates. Herman Cain came out of thin air and was lauded by the audiences because of his smooth but loud voice, and his ability to make a valid point in less than 60 seconds.

In addition, Herman Cain is full of tag lines and radio friendly excerpts. Just look at his 9-9-9 plan. Mainstream media has attacked it and proved that the plan will not work. Despite this, the average American voter only remembers the 9-9-9. It’s a memorable tag line. People want this. It makes them feel comfortable. Another example would be George Bush stating “No new taxes.” Of course it was just a blatant lie. But people remembered the tag line and he was voted into office.

Continuing on, Herman Cain is also an African American. So there is no way that President Barack Obama can play the race card. It’s impossible. With any other candidate, he can make himself the racial underdog. But going against another African American, the two will be on even racial grounds. And then, at least momentarily, politics can speak.

I’m not a Herman Cain supporter. I am a supporter of the United States of America. In fact, out of everybody on the ticket, my views are more in line with Ron Paul. But he can’t win. Herman Cain is the only man who could give Barack Obama a run for his money in the 2012 Presidential Election.
