Why Better Luck Next Year Applies to the Dallas Cowboys!

The season may have ended on a bitter note for the Dallas Cowboys. An 8 – 8 win loss record is not what Jerry Jones and the Cowboys faithful had in mind this year, but even though every team that did not make the season, says “better luck next year”, read why it applies to the blue and silver.

The Cowboys literally fumbled around until they found some diamonds in the rough. There is no doubt that Laurent Robinson and DeMarco Murray made a huge impact on the team this year. Almost out of nowhere Robinson was an un-stoppable force and a touchdown machine. DeMarco showed promise as a contender for the featured back next year. Maybe sensing this threat Felix Jones ran hard until sustaining another hamstring injury going into the last and pivotal game of the year.

Robinson gives management a hard choice to make at the wide receiver spot. Can you feature three elite wide receivers? Dez Bryant and Austin Miles are stars in their own right. How can the Cowboys feed three? It’s a nice problem to have.

Did anyone forget or even care that Tony Romo was beaten up this year? With the broken ribs and then hand injury going into the playoff deciding game with the New York Giants, it’s hard not to think that if he was healthy the entire year it would not have come down to a week 17 win or out match-up.

Dallas finished 14th in yards allowed per game, they were best at run defense with less than 100 yards allowed per game. Tighten down on big plays given up and the Defense should be able to hold it’s own in the 2012-13 season.

Cowboys fanatics will “keep the faith” fly the Dallas Cowboys Flag and see them in the playoffs next year.
