Many diet plans out there are not written by doctors or nutrition experts, this can be risky as these people generally do not know the proper nutrients involved in a healthy diet. You can end up doing more harm than good if you are not careful.

A key concept in a diet plan is exercise. Through motion and exercise you burn more calories. Weight loss is based on calories in versus calories out, so exercise is beneficial to burn some of those extra calories.
