People all the time want to know, where is the best bowling alley in Salt Lake City. Well it depends on the experience you are looking for. If you are looking for a bowling where you can get a pitcher of beer, it may be different than one you visit to keep the kids busy for a few hours.
People in this town tend to take their kids to the alley’s they went to as children. Some of my best memories come from the bowling alley’s around the valley.One of my favorites was the Ritz Classic. They have plenty of lanes for your enjoyment, a laneside menu which will provide you with your snack during the game and even a pitcher of soda. They do birthday parties and more. They are open until midnight most nights and until one on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Their rates are comparable to other alley’s, and the staff is upbeat and helpful. They are located at 2265 So. State St. on the East side of the street, look for the giant bowling pin.
Another great spot to bowl is somewhat of a hole in the wall, but those are the best ones right? Bonwood Bowl has been around for a while but even some of the people don’t know about it. It is located on 2500 So. and Main St., and is a nice cozy place to take the kids. Bonwood has specials for almost every budget. Prices start at just $1.25 and go up to $9.00, with the nine dollar special you get three games and the shoe rental is thrown into the cost. They do have tournaments and leagues but for open bowling it is reasonable. The more people you have the cheaper the cost. They have a cafe so you can get your snack’s in between frames. It is a good time to be had by all.
Now those are the favorites that are just strictly bowline alley’s. If you are going in a group and not everyone in the group is a bowler there is another option. Why not take the kids to FatCat’s? They also have billiards, bumper cars, an arcade, an awesome eatery, and miniature golf. Packages are available and they have several locations. Kids in this area love to go to FatCat’s not just for the activities but it is a cool place to hang out with your friends.They have 3 locations one in Salt Lake City, one in Provo, and one in Ogden.
