For those of you keeping score at home, counting the final two games last season, the Green Bay Packers have won their last 10 regular season games. This is one shy of tying the team record.
The last time the Packers faced the Minnesota Vikings (Oct. 23rd), they nearly ended that win streak with the Vikings leading at the half and being within a touchdown at the end due, largely, to some spectacular play from rookie Christian Ponder.
Going into this game, the Vikings once again pose a threat. The Packers are still the better team talent wise. But the Vikings are coming off their bye week and will have the advantage of an extra week’s rest and preparation. That, along with the recent struggles from the Packers defense, could make it a long game for Green Bay.
In fact, much like the first game, I think this is going to be a shootout with the Vikings holding the lead at times. However, because the Packers do have much more overall talent (starting with quarterback Aaron Rodgers), I still think they will come out on top. The Vikings will keep it close. But, it won’t be enough.
Packers 42- Vikings 37
