New Series Premieres on TV in March 2012

There are eighteen new TV series beginning in March 2012. Will you be able to tell if Michael is “Awake” or asleep? Awake (NBC)
Thursdays @ 10:00pm, Series Premiere March 1
Detective Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) cannot tell if he is awake or asleep. After a tragic car accident his mind creates 2 worlds in which he now lives. In one, his teenage son Rex (Dylan Minnette) is alive and his wife perished. In the other, his wife Hannah (Laura Allen) survived but his son is dead. Helping him try to distinguish the true reality from the fake are therapists (one from each world) Dr. Evans (Cherry Jones) and Dr. Lee (BD Wong). But Michael isn’t sure he wants to separate truth from fiction.

Best Ink (OXY)
Tuesdays @ 10:00pm, Series Premiere March 27
Tattoo artists now have their own competition where the winner will bag $100,000. Judges include Joe Capobianco, Sabina Kelley, and a rotating guest judge. Hosted by Kimberly Caldwell.

Fashion Star (NBC)
Tuesdays @ 9:30pm, Series Premiere March 13
“Fashion Star” is looking for the next big brand in the fashion world designed for Americans to buy. Weekly winners’ designs will be immediately available for purchase. The overall winner will receive $6,000,000 in orders for capsule collections in Macy’s, H&M and Saks Fifth Avenue stores. Judging the designers are Caprice Willard (Macy’s), Terron E. Schaefer (Saks Fifth Avenue), and Nicole Christie (H&M). Hosted by Elle Macpherson.

Frozen Planet (DISC)
Sundays @ 8:00, Series Premiere March 18
Four years in the making and following in the footsteps of the popular documentary “Planet Earth” comes “Frozen Planet” which will showcase the natural elements, beauty, and animals of the Earth’s polar regions. Kudos to Frozen Planet’s filmmakers who filmed a record 2,356 days in the field, 1-½ years at sea, more than 6 months on the sea ice and 134 hours beneath that ice, filming in the polar oceans. Narrated by Alec Baldwin.

GCB (ABC)
Sundays @ 10:00pm, Series Premiere March 4
“GCB” = Good Christian Belles. Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bobb) was a mean person in high school. But people can change, right? Amanda has but the former unpopular teen now turned diva Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth) doesn’t believe it and still seeks revenge 18 years later. Some people never grow up? GCB? Yeah, right.

Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis (BRAVO)
Wednesdays @ 9:00pm, Series Premiere March 14
Interior designer Jeff Lewis is moving in with his clients and he’s bringing his assistant Jenni Pulos and housekeeper Zoila Chavexz with him. They spend 5 days in the clients home judging and redesigning their living space.

Another family documentary series; this one featuring actress/comedienne Niecy Nash.
