Mercedes-Benz Viano Vision Pearl Concept Unveiled Before Frankfurt Debut

By offering plenty of space and comfort, the Mercedes-Benz Viano earned its reputation as a “premium shuttle”, but apparently this is not enough for the German carmaker, which prepares a special edition of the Viano called the Mercedes-Benz Viano Vision Pearl Concept, which is scheduled to debut this Fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

And if by seeing the “Vision” tag in the name you’re thinking about a new extravagant design of the Viano, you’re wrong, because what Mercedes wants to show with this concept is a new interior layout and ultra-luxurious features. The designers that created this concept were offered complete freedom, so they got inspired from the luxury yachting world, making Mercedes call this concept car a “yacht on wheels”.

According to the press release, the car’s body is covered in a special Magno Pearl Grey paint, while the wheels were also specially created for this concept. The front bumper and the front grille received minor restyling, in order to adapt to the car’s “oceanic” theme, and have also LED daytime running lights integrated.

The Viano Vision Pearl’s interior offers amazing features to those seeking elegance, luxury and good taste. The seats’ upholstery is a combination of white and grey, just like luxury speed boats have, while the floor features natural wood inserts also inspired from luxury boats. As for the rest of the interior, it is almost fully covered in white leather, beautifully assorted to the aluminum inserts on the dashboard and on the doors, the impression the car leaves being that of relaxing aquatic atmosphere. And even though Mercedes calls this concept “the S-Class of the vans”, we go a little further and say that this car is actually more luxurious than the S-Class, especially when considering the interior. Of course, as you’d expect from a high-end car like this one, a premium sound system isn’t missing, Mercedes equipping the Viano Vision Pearl concept with a top of the line Bang & Olufsen sound system that produced 1,320 watts and features no less than 18 speakers, all manually integrated in the car.

For the moment, Mercedes hasn’t said anything about the car’s future, so we don’t know if the Viano Vision Pearl will only remain a beautiful concept or if reach people all over the world will be able to enjoy it. Of course, there’s also the possibility of Mercedes choosing to offer the features on the concept as an optional feature for their upcoming cars, which will probably get these ones up to a matching price.
