For those of you watching the Bachelor Pad this summer, you know the cast of characters that make up the “quadrangle,” four very different people named Michael, Holly, Blake, and Melissa have gotten sucked into the drama that is the Bachelor Pad.

Okay, let’s summarize. Michael and Holly were on various seasons of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor respectively. They met, dated, and got engaged. Holly called it off last year due to cold feet and other reasons, however, she and Michael got back together and then he broke things off because he couldn’t believe that she could walk away from what they had together. They become reunited on Bachelor Pad; however, Holly and Blake fall for each other while Michael can’t seem to let her go. Melissa falls for Blake at the onset; however, he doesn’t feel the same in return although he tries to act like he does in order to play the game. After all, the winner of Bachelor Pad gets $250,000 so contestants have to strategize and win competitions to make it to the end. And it does help to team up or become a couple.

Michael seems like such a nice and sweet guy. He is too hung up over Holly, though. Even if he had a chance at reuniting with her, too much damage has been done and it’s best in this case for both he and Holly to move on. She is not ready to be completely committed to him and has found a new love in Blake.

Holly has every right to flirt and start a relationship with Blake. She and Michael were already over when the show started. Holly may tell the cameras that she’s confused, however, deep down she knew it wasn’t going to work out with Michael and she thinks that Blake gives her a good reason to smile again.

Blake and his pearly-whites fell for Holly the second they met. Unfortunately, Melissa made Blake out to be a bad guy just because he didn’t fall for her, and he’s been forced to pay for her overreactions. Melissa interrupted Blake while he was brushing his teeth with an electric toothbrush in one episode and he told her to wait 40 seconds while he finished. This is worth mentioning because Blake is a dentist. As much as you may not like going to the dentist, you should always practice good hygiene.

Melissa fell for Blake and thought they could establish a relationship out of their partnership. Blake didn’t feel the same causing Melissa to overreact. Melissa should know better than to give a guy (Blake) too much power over her emotions, especially with him being 5 years younger than her. Regardless of age, it’s never a good idea to give someone too much power over how you feel.

For what it’s worth, it’s too bad that things didn’t work out between Michael and Holly but I do wish Blake and Holly all the best. I hope Michael can find love again, and I hope Melissa learns to get a grip on her emotions. She should’ve stopped trying so hard to be with Blake after she realized that he didn’t want to be with her. Michael needs to learn this lesson as well. Think about it, why would anyone want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with them? It always takes two to make a relationship work.
