Inexpensive Hair Treatment: Apple Cider Vinegar

A few years ago I was sitting in the salon getting my highlights touched up when an overpowering smell took over the wash area. My hair was drenched and soaked in apple cider vinegar. How in the world was this even happening and how could it possibly help my hair?

Little did I know that apple cider vinegar is one of the best things a person could use as a treatment on their hair and it is something that can be done at home at a very inexpensive cost. You can use regular vinegar, but it has been proven that the apple cider vinegar is a much better pick.

Vinegar removes scaly build-up and residue leaving hair with more shine and life. It also restores natural pH, closes cuticles and locks in and helps maintain color after hair has been dyed. By closing cuticles, tangles are reduced and less breakage is caused. For people with an itchy scalp, this treatment is also recommended because it does restore the pH, which reduces the itchiness.

Mixing your own at home solution is more than easy and not very time consuming. All you need is a bottle to store your solution, Apple Cider Vinegar, and water. The solution is 2 cups vinegar and one cup water mixed together in the bottle of your choice.

Wash your hair as your normally would and rinse with warm or cool water. Following this, drench hair in the vinegar solution you now have and let it soak for around fifteen minutes, then rinse with warm water until the smell has dissipated. Super easy! For best results use this treatment one to two times a week.

When combing your hair, you will notice less tangles and more shine instantly! You can’t beat this incredibly easy, inexpensive, and manageable hair treatment in today’s economy!
