Dying is just like taxes in the respect that it is going to happen to you and me. Over history, we realize it doesn’t matter who you are, you are going to face death. Famous people have no secret weapon against death. They are just like you and I. They will die. We will die. Death is a part of life. However, many of us look forward to eternal life in Heaven. After we all pass from this world, I hope to meet each one of you in a better place called Heaven.

1780 American Revolutionary War: Benedict Arnold gives the British the plans to West Point

1827 Joseph Smith, Jr. is reportedly visited by the angel Moroni, who gave him a record of gold plates, one-third of which Smith has translated into The Book of Mormon

1959-1998 Florence Griffith Joyner, American athlete, Olympic Gold Medalist and still the record holder for the 100 meters and 200 meters, she died from epilepsy

1946-2006 Boz Burrell was an English musician. Originally a vocalist, Burrell is best known for his bass playing and work with the rock bands King Crimson and Bad Company

1929-2007 Hallgeir Brenden, Norwegian Olympic gold medalist

1926-2007 Alice Ghostley, American actress who played Esmeralda on Bewitched

1919-2007 Rex Humbard, American television evangelist
