Britney is Back and Better Than Ever

Britney Spears is still the reigning “Princess of Pop” and proves that with her seventh studio album Femme Fatale. Known for her dance hits, this album doesn’t disappoint with its fresh songs that will get anyone out on the dance floor. It has pulse pounding hits including the first single, “Hold it Against Me.”

As stated on MTV, not only is it her fourth No. 1 hit, it also tops the Billboard Digital Songs Chart, knocking out Taylor Swift’s previous sales record. It also topped iTunes charts and as of January 12 it was expected to be one of the most downloaded MP3’s both online and through mobile devices as reported by review of electronics.

It was also compared by some to her previous hit “Ooops I Did it Again” with people saying the song had special effects such as a thick bass, dance beats, dropouts, low-wattage double entendres. Her next single, “Til the World Ends” became so popular it earned its own remix featuring Nicki Minaj and Kesha on the track Britney’s third single, “I Wanna Go” landed on the US radio airways top one hundred with a peak position at number two for fifteen weeks according to ACharts.

Aside from those smash hit singles, there are 13 other ‘make you want to get up and dance’ songs on the album as follows: “Inside Out”, “How I Roll”, “(Drop Dead) Beautiful”, “Seal it With a Kiss, “Big Fat Bass”, “Trouble For Me”, Trip to Your Heart”, “Gasoline”, “Criminal”, “Up ‘N Down”, “He About to Lose Me”, “Selfish” and “Don’t Keep Me Waiting”.

The reason this is my favorite album of this year so far is because this record was her way of saying, at least in my opinion, “I’m back y’all and better than ever!” since a lot of critics have really cracked down on her in the last few years. Plus the songs are really catchy and one of her best works since her self titled album Britney. This entire album makes you want to get up and move to the beat.
