If you are a new mom, you are sure to have some of that extra weight left over from being pregnant. Most of your weight will be gone when you have the baby, but there is always that small amount that just seems to hang around. Drink Water

I know you have probably heard this a million times, but it’s true. Drinking water is a sure-fire way to losing weight. It is recommended that you drink at least 8 – 10 glasses of water a day. If you consume the right amount of water, you will see amazing results in the first week alone. And the reason for this is all of the fluid you are pertaining will be released by drinking the water. So, the first 10 pounds or so that you lose will all be fluid. The second week will not be as successful as the first week because you have all of the fluid out of your body, but don’t get discouraged. In time, it will all come off. So, drink that water!

Change Eating Habits

Another simple thing to do is change your eating habit. One of the hardest things to break after giving birth is the “eating for two” deal. You are no longer eating for two, so you will definitely need to cut back on what you eat. As far as snacking, keep pretzels and gummy bears in the house. These are very low in calories and make for great snacks. So, instead of grabbing for those potato chips, grab some pretzels. Try to eat bagels for breakfast and salads for lunch and have a light dinner. Cutting back and eating healthier will also help you lose that weight without killing yourself.

Clean, Clean, Clean

This may sound like a weird one, but I promise it will help you lose weight. When you clean your house, really clean it. By that I mean, do speed cleaning to the point you are sweating. Sweat those pounds off in other words. It has been proven that you can burn quite a few calories if you clean hard, to the point of sweating.

With these three ways, you should be able to get that extra baby weight off. Just don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results over night, because it will take some time.
