More Answers to "Are there any muscle relaxers or something for stress and anxiety that are herbal?"Avoid pharmacuticals, they can be habit forming! A good idea is a tonic tea blend. I myself make a tonic tea every morning, I just add the tea and water to a water bottle, and carry it around with my during the day, refilling with boiling water as needed. It's very handy! Anyways, here's what I take, as well as some other suggestions:My tonic tea:- Lavender- good for mental alertness, soothing & relaxing- Peppermint - boosts mental alertness- Ginger - promotes whole body health, immune support, tasty!- Red clover - nourishing: a frail body can lead to a lot of anxiety, so nourishing herbs rich in vitamins can help with anxiety problems. - Nettle leaf - nourishing, iron supplement (I was anemic)- Oatstraw - promotes mental balance by balancing out regulatory hormones in the brain. Very very effective! - Lemon Balm - nourishing, tasty, and very calming (but not so calming you'll be sleeping)Some other good herbs that may help you:- Chamomile - anti spasmodic and a mild muscle relaxer. Wonderful for calming. I can't take it, it is in the ragweed family and causes allergies for me- if you have allergies, be aware and don't take it if you react to it.- Hops - Mildly sedating, best for bedtime, but helps soothe nerves.- Scullcap - I take this in the PM, it is a mild sedative and can help calm you if nerves are causing insomnia!Remember, though: No herb will cure it all. They will help you heal and find personal balance, but if you have a high stress, high anxiety life, they will not fix all of your stress. Look at your lifestyle, identify stress factors, and find solutions to them. A personal counsler can help with this process. Good luck!
