It is probably esophageal reflux and is often diet related. Try Nexium. Do you have nasal allergies this often causes reflux.

Q: I am having abdominal pain.It started on the left side like a couple inches under the rib cage.I have been having it off & on for the 2 weeks.It would give me a sharp pain then subside & not do it again for a few hours 2 the next day.The pain has now become a constant pain in my entire abdomin & around my back.I’ve had gas & nausea with it.I went to the ER the other night and the doc said “Its reflux” after taking blood & urine.I got the impression he just didnt kno what it was Those tests were fine.I am not having any type of heart burn or any real chest pains with it &antiacids dont help.Now my abdominal muscles are hurting to the point I cant hold my stomache right & it hangs like those men with beer bellies.I last night my husband was touching me made me orgasm & it caused alot of additional pain in my stomache for a short time.Ive also been light headed&dizzy when I walk.My DR has been out so I wont be able 2 see him til hes bak Monday.Any Ideas what it could be

A: A lot of the time doctor’s fail to diagnose appendicitis. My friend was told it was reflux for a while – he went through a myriad of tests before they finally realized it was his appendix, weeks later.I’d get a second and third opinion by another doctor asap because a ruptured appendix is bad, bad news. And having an appendix removed is a simple operation to schedule and be done with.

Q: Ive posted this a few times, but never got any help.I missed 2 pills 3 1/2 weeks ago (sat and sun.) On monday I took 3 pills, sat, sun and mondays. I started to spot saturday morning. I let it go figured it was cause i missed the pill or my body just needed a cycle. Well after 2 weeks, I called my GYN, she told me no big deal. To keep taking the pills, which i did. The 2 days i missed me and my fiance did have sex..unprotected. I had planned on taking the pill sat when I got home, but having a 9 yr old, life got in the way. Same with sunday. I called ago last week, and was told the same thing, keep taking them. So I did. I called Sunday for a UTI. Was put on an anitibiotic and was told to come in monday. When I went in, the test came back neg for being pregnant. She switched my BC pills in hopes it would stop the spotting.Well I went back to work monday after my app. and I started to have sharp pains in my lower abdomin. I let it go thought it was gas or soemthing. Tuesday, still had them, and still let them go. Yesturday, I was in so much pain I called them back and was told i needed to come in. I did today. Was given an ultrasound and a new preg test. Teh sound showed nothing out of the norm. I asked about being pregnant, and she told me there was nothing there saying i was but it was to early to even see anything if i was. The test was neg again also. I saw the main doctor, and she said she doesnt get why im having the sharp pain when theres nothing out of the norm. So she told me to take it easy and take pain meds and pray it stops.I went back to work today, and no matter what I did, I got the sharp pains. I work for the census, and we lift boxes that are very heavy. When I tried to pick one up I got the pains and they lasted. Then my lower back started to hurt. I was in so much pain i ended up cring. The pain is a mix between a cramp and a ovulation pain. ive been pregnant before, and the only issue I ever had was my lower back. I was eatting more but now food in general doesnt sound good to me. I have the lap band and can get stuck on food, and since monday I have been getting stuck on food left and right, meaning my band in tighter. Im exhausted. my boobs hurt, but that can be from the pills. Other than that..nothing is different. Oh and some I work with think I am pregannt. I keep telling them im not.

A: im not sure if you are or not, but right now my mom has an ovarian sist (or however you spell it) and she is having some signs like that. but if i were you i would wait a week and take a test, and if it is negative, and you still feel pregnant, get a blood test done. when you went before you could have gotten a blood test because they can detect pregnancy as early as a week.

Q: Okay, this is a tough one.. but here goes:So my girlfriend who’s currently 16, about to turn 17 in less than a month, has some “Issues”. She is dealing with an enormous amount of stress, and normally thats an issue, but nothing too serious right?.. well, with her, its a very serious issue. She has Lukemia, and it caused her to rupture some organs a while back, and as it is a “Cancer of the Blood” naturally, the ruptures take MUCH longer to heal than you or I would. She recently was with me, and feeling sharp pains in her Abdomin area, and she mentioned it, so i questioned her, she kept saying its nothing and then finally i made her leave the theatre and i took her to the ER. They found that she was bleeding Internally again. So the thing is, her doctor told her that she needed to NOT have stress, because she was overloading, and I don’t know the specifics, but the stress somehow makes her more seceptible to bleeding inside.So what my thing is… Her parents are overly pushy, and have a sort of rocky relationship. They even went as far as to hit her, and we dealt with that.. but now, her parents just go overboard with everyhting, like the little things they turn into stress for her. I told her to ignore it, and ignore any stress.. and even make her talk to me about all the problems shes had pretty much every day, to try and help get rid of some of the stress. Her sister is in college in a different state, and yet my girlfriend is dealing with her personal problems, which is adding stress. I told her she needed to stop, but she just says “I Can’t” to everything i say about forgetting, and not caring what people say, or anything that causes stress. I am so worried, and i dont know what to do, she today started bleeding again, and she dosent seem to care as much about her life as I do. Its not that she dosen’t want to, but she almost can’t. Her whole life her parents have abused her mentaly and physically, and now she is feeling like everytime we get her back on her feet, someone or something comes along and knocks her back down on her feet. i am running out of ideas and time, I just need any advise or solutions anyone can give me. A: It is really hard rather you are sick or not to see a family have problems especially if they are your sybling. I do not kow if you have a brother or sister or not but if you do then you kow that there is a special bond there. So i owuld tell her its ok to give her sister advice and to listen to her vent but try not to make hersisters problems her own. Although hard thats a personal choice that your girl friend has to make. As far as her family goes, I wold advise you tot ell her ao go to her local famliy services. Every city has one. this organization helps with rape, domestic violence, physical and mental abuse. they even sometimes provide fincial support. So its as easy as looking in your yellow pages to find out the number. They are a raelly good organization and they keep things very confidential. I hope that this helps.
