What is this abdominal pain ?
Q: I have this cramp-like, all over abdominal pain. My low back and sides are also hurting (cramp like). When i touch it, its very tender and i dont know what it could be. If its appendicitis, then i should feel more pain on my lower right side. I did the test, and pressed my lower right side but it doesnt really hurt when i release my hand. And i dont have any nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarhea. I just have some frequent urination and i feel bloated. I dont know what else it could be. I got work tomorrow so I cant really go to my doctor right away. Does anyone know what it could be ? I am just very worried :(ThanksMy stomach is just aching all over. Now i am not always cramp like pain.

Pain to the right of my belly button?
Q: For about a week now I’ve had bad abdominal pain all over the place. My mom tries to tell me that it’s just from my gallbladder being removed but that was almost two months ago. I’ve had pain were my gallbladder was, were my spleen is, a little up to the left of my belly button, and now today… I have it on the right side of my belly button. It was annoying that I had to take a vicodin. ><‘ I want to believe it’s not appendicitis because I don’t have that rebound pain between my hip bone and belly button. The only reason my mom won’t take me to the doctors is because we have no money. -_- I was wondering though, if my medicine wears off and I still have the pain, should I go to the ER? Does anybody know what else it could be? I’m only 15 so I’m really worried. I mean… I’m a huge hypochondriac. ><‘ But that’s only because I want to live for a really long time. =) Any advice/help? Please don’t say “Why are you on Y!A and not at the hospital?” =/ Due to the fact that I am such a hypochondriac, I like to make sure it’s serious enough for that sort of thing. Thanks for any answers and sorry that it’s so long!Btw, it tends to only hurt after I eat.
A: Maybe there could be some knd of colmplication from the surgery? oh and I know exactly how you feel being a hypocondriach but not going to the doctor because you dont know if its bad enough. I get that feeling all the time. anyways I was looking this up for you and heres some things I came up with although i still believe it could be a complication from the surgery:Accute Pancreitis, polycycstic kidney disease, cancers, different STD’s, gastreonitis, cirrohsis.I definatley think this is worrysome enough to see a doctor soon especially scince you just had a surgery. tell him your concerns over the phone! hope this helps and good luck!
Severe abdominal pain, migraines, etc…?
Q: My partner fell ill over a week ago, on the Friday, he started off with a headache and slight nausea which we just dismissed as possible sunstroke. Next day he had worsened and was vomiting constantly and still had a headache, so he just decided to take paracetamol and then rest for the weekend. However, there was not much improvement by Monday so his GP came round and checked him over and then diagnosed him with possible appendicitis as his abdomen caused him pain when touched. Went to the hospital as soon as we could, where he had blood tests done, and after waiting for hours finally got results back – they were all clear. The doctor there prescribed him some Co-Codamol (he isn’t allowed to take ibuprofen as he’s asthmatic, so the next best pain killer for him is paracetamol) and told him that it’s likely to just be the flu or a viral infection that should go away in a couple of days. By Thursday he was feeling much better, slight headache with dizziness and drowsiness but that was likely just a side effect from the medication. Unfortunately on Friday night he was constantly vomiting again and the pain in his abdomen has increased over the last 2 days to the point where he can’t even move without causing himself terrible pain and discomfort. Also he’s unable to eat anything as he can’t keep it down, so now when he vomits its mainly bile. He’s made an appointment with his GP for tomorrow to find out what they think it could be, although to be honest I don’t think they will do much – probably just prescribe some more painkillers and tell him to rest. (Which clearly isn’t working). So my question is, has this happened to you or anyone you know? – If so, could you please tell me what caused it, or at least what you did to relieve the pain? Please help if you can!
A: I am no Doctor but it certainly sounds like a very bad flu or viral infection affecting his digestive system. In such particular cases the Doctors know best even though they do not always get the problem solved at first diagnose the best thing is to keep going back until there is a solution. Remember for them it is trial and error. Unless that particular doctor has plenty of experience to interpret signs and symptoms out right at first time. All the best I hope he gets better soon or at least they do find out what the exact problem is.
