Q: i have been calorie counting and lowed my fat intake for the past 12 weeks and have lost 2st 5lb, … 33lbmy friend has now has started calorie counting, now my friend has aprox 7stone to lose. we are having a disagreement now as they say they can eat almost anything as long as it don’t go over the daily calories they have set for them self. and the fat content does not matter….so what they are saying is its OK for them to not eat all day and have a Mc Ds as long as they keep under there calories.. or they can have a huge meal (2 frozen ready meals for dinner) as long as by the end of the day they do not go over there calorie intakeok YES i agree they will lose weight, as they are not having 1/2 of there normal daily intake, cakes, sweets, chocolate, crisps and coke.but surly trying to keep the fat content down will help them lose weight faster and be far better for them. there must be a reason it says 70g of fat for a adult daily amount on every thing you buy.i just cant get it through to them that having 2500 cals a day you must also keep under the 70g of fat recommended can some one please help me out and try to explain this, OR explain it to me if i am so wrong
A: I can’t help you explain it because you’ve already covered it.Just tell your friend that and if she still thinks she is right, then let her go ahead and do what she wants to do.After all, she’s only going to ruin herself.She will lose the weight, then put it back on even faster and be unhealthy, whilst you will keep the weight off for good and be healthy.If she doesn’t listen, then there’s no point in trying to persuade her because YOU are doing the right thing.Congratulations on losing your weight by the way!
