What could cause severe lower abdominal pain that can’t be relieved?
Q: I’m female, 19 years old. I’m on my third day of severe lower abdominal pain. The first day was the worst. It started with pinching in my lower abdomin and in about two minutes it became very severe and I couldn’t move at all. I was on the couch completely unable to move for 7 hours. The next day when I was able to sleep off some of the pain I went to the emergency room. All my blood test are normal. pregnancy test was negative. White blood cell count was normal and my blood pressure was the best it’s been in a year. They gave me morphine for the pain and it did nothing. They inspected my uterus and ruled out ovarian cyst and endometriosis. They ruled out appendicitis since the pain is centrally located and not to one side. After finding no answer they just sent me home with a prescription for pain meds. I’m not looking for a doctors answer, just other people who have had severe lower abdominal pain. I need to know what this is. I have no fever, good appetite, no nausea, no other problems except this extreme pain that keeps me from barely being able to move. I can barely walk now because every step feel like razor blades rattling in my abdomin. What do you think it could be? Please nobody being rude
A: I started having severe lower abdominal pain a few months ago.It seemed like nothing could solve it.Then, I realized it was about 15 minutes after I ate, and sometimes it extended a few hours. It was terrible..I couldn’t really move, and sleeping was nearly impossible.I went to the doctor, and they found out I have ulcers. ):Did they test you for ulcers?
What Causes Lower Left Back And Abdominal Pain?
Q: Hi I am a 19 female who has a problem… you see ever since this past March (which has been almost 3 months) I have been experciencing very sharp and severe lower left back and abdominal pains from time to time. I went to my doctor and she said the pains probably came on so severe because I had taken my birth control but i never started my period. So she told me to stop taking my birth control which I did and sure enough the pain went away. But then as quick as it went away is just as quick as it came back. It was probably like 2 weeks later that it came back. And it’s been like that for almost 3 months now… It comes and goes. And another problem I haven’t started my period in those 3 months niether. And no I’m not pregnant because I have taken home pregnancy tests and they have all came back negative. So please what should I do!!! Thank-You
A: It may be your kidneys or intestines and you may have to go in for a CT or MRI or have an ultrasound done. Good Luck!!!
Lower abdominal pain for 5 years. Drs don’t know what is wrong.?
Q: I am a 25 year old female that has been in pain for 5 years. Drs have done ultrasounds, x-rays, and blood tests and still don’t know what is wrong with me. I’ve been to 3 different drs and first assumption is appendix but because I have been in pain for 5 years it is ruled out. I have never smoked, drank, or done other drugs. The pain started after having a normal vaginal birth with my daughter. I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with my second child. In the early pregnancy the pain seemed to fade until recently when it went back to normal just in a different location. I only feel the pain when pressure is applied. The pain is to the right of my belly button and seems about the size of baseball. After a dr pushes on it the pain last for about 24 hours without being touched. It feels like a horrible bruise. When pushed hard it is a stabbing pain. During an ultrasound when the tool was pressed in that spot is caused horrible pain. There was a large blob which the ultrasound technician listed as bowel with a question mark after it. I am not usually constipated. I also have had a colonoscopy because my sister and dad had precancerous polyps in the colon. My uncle died suddenly of colon cancer. Everything was completely normal with my colon. I don’t know what to do anymore. I don’t want the problem to harm my baby. I eat relatively healthy and frequently walk/jog 3 miles 5 times week. I am technically considered obese 200lb and 5’5″. However no matter how much exercise and diet I don’t lose more than 15 lbs. Before pregnancy I was a 1200 calorie diet with a minimum of 3 miles a day 6 days a week and weight lifting for over a year and got down to 185lbs. My blood pressure is 130/65.
A: After you have the baby, I would request laparoscopy. It kind of sounds like a hernia. I’ve heard of alot of women actually getting hernias after giving birth. I had about 6 months of intense pain and had the same as you-bloodwork, xrays, ultrasounds and nothing showed. My OB recommended laparoscopy because he thought I had endometriosis (which won’t show up on u/s or xray). They found hernias and no endometriosis. Hernias also may not show up on u/s or xray. Hernias would also explain why the pain is worse while pregnant. My doctors have told me to be prepared to be in pain as my pregnancy progresses. I just think laparoscopy would be good because it gives the doctor an inside look at your abdomen. I just felt alot better about my situation after having the surgery done. Good luck.
