What are the symptoms of gas poisoning?
Q: We have these gas heaters at school because the boiler’s broken and today in lesson they stank the whole room out with his hot, warm, gas smell. I stood next to heater and it absolutely reaked. I was only in the room for about 10 minutes and our principal even came into the room. This was at 9 o clock this morning so nearly 12 hours ago and i feel really tired and have a headache, could i have some form of poisoning? I am currently recovering from flu and have a cough which has given me the headache it think…Surely something would have happened to me before now?
A: The gas heaters were running on propane gas I suppose – but that’s just a guess. I assume you don’t know what type of gas it was? Here’s the reaction to propane gas anyway:ACUTE EXPOSUREInhalation may produce rapid breathing, headache, dizziness, visual disturbances, muscular weakness, tremors, depending upon concentration and duration of exposure because of altered pH-balance in the body. Most gases smell and irritate so that someone acts upon exposure. The acute reactions are acute reactions and it calms down after a while. Usually, for short exposure it’s enough with fresh air.If difficulties persist, contact a physician for treatmentR.O.

Q: My stomach has been hurting for about 8 months now and I almost have gotten used to the pain. My family doctor cannot figure it out and is sending me to a specialist, but the specialist cannot get me in for awhile.Daily Symptoms:Gas2-4 bathroom breaksSpottingLittle stomach aches here and thereI have had 3 episodes where:DiarrheaDilated pupilsHorrible stomach pains (9 on a 10 point scale)ChillsBody Temperature way upNauseaand I just want to curl up in a ball on the bathroom floor. This feeling last about 20minutes and then leaves after I go to the restroom. Then the next two days I am scared to eat anything and my tummy is still super sore. Please let me know if you have any advice that can help me.I also used to drink this diet tea called Laci Le Beau Teas for about 1 year straight and it says do not go over 2 weeks on the box…Could this of caused whatever is happening to me??
A: Laci Le Beau Teas contain Senna and Stevia, both could cause health problems if used for a prolonged period of time.Nausea, gas, bloating, and abdominal pain are among commonly reported side effects of Senna. Stevia is much safer, but it is possible to develop diziness, headache, muscle weakness, bloating, nausea, muscle tenderness and even reproductive health issues.Tell your specialist about it, it should help to provide specific diagnosis (IBS, endometriosis, whatever it may be) and find the best way to treat it.
What are the symptoms of natural gas exposure?
Q: I accidentally spilled water on my gas stove and it put the flames out. I forgot to shut the burner off for several hours (several of which I was in the kitchen). When I realized it, I aired out the house using fans blowing in everywhere except the kitchen which I had blowing out. Then I never thought about the pilot light until two days later. I could smell the gas all this time. What are the symptome of breathing too much natural gas?
A: if you re still with us 2 days later, think you re ok. i get sick from the smell additive they put in it. really i think you would get sleepy and doze off into oblivian if it were really bad. a pilot light is very small. im sure if you call your dx he ll put your mind better at ease than me a total stranger.good luck with that though and maybe switch to electric stove;))
