What are the signs of a miscarriage?
Q: I am just over 4 weeks with baby #2 and I’ve been pretty dizzy for the past few days. I have no spotting or bleeding, but I do have some cramping (not severe, just mild) that’s been there since I got my BFP. I was symptom-free with baby #1, but this time around, I was nauseous & queasy (not so much now as the dizziness has taken over) have diarrhea, and I’m so tired! My girlfriend says that dizziness is a sign of a miscarriage….this is why I’m asking. I just want everything to be okay. It took us 12 months to conceive this time around! My hCG levels were low at my missed period (on the 9th) so I’m going in for another blood test to be sure as the doctor thinks we miscalculated our dates.Any help would be fabulous!
A: Firstly don’t panic, cramping us a common sign of a healthy pregnancy for most women, also no two pregnancies are the same i am expecting for fifth time and each was different. dizziness can be a sign of low iron levels, pregnant with twins or just the fact you are expecting and already have a child to look after!Low hcg results could just mean miscalculated dates, they do start low and increase with time, dont panic and rest up, keep everyone posted but im sure youll be fine, goodluck!xxx
14 weeks and throwing up — early sign of stillbirth miscarriage?
Q: Our fetus passed 14 weeks milestone yesterday. We have experienced 2 miscarriage, at around 6 and 8 weeks, and this is our 3rd pregnancy. We have ultrasounds done at 5.25, 7, and 11 weeks, and nuchal translucency screening at 13 weeks. Each scan showed healthy fetus/embryo developing at a normal rate.2 nights ago, my wife had a horrible nightmare (gunshot to stomach, killing our baby). And all of a sudden last night (3 hours after dinner), she threw up for the 1st time in this pregnancy. No clotting, no blood, nothing out of the ordinary. Other than dizziness, many of which were severe but within the expected severity of morning sickness, she had not thrown up during the 1st trimester.I realize that throwing up is natural and some experience it throughout the entire pregnancy. But perhaps throwing up is a precursor to stillbirth? My wife threw up once during the 1st trimester and our stillbirth emryo was about the size when she threw up. Next prenatal visit is 1 week from today.
A: stress can cause a miscarrage, relax, why dont you buy a doppler at walmart, being able to listen to your baby’s heartbeat at any time will calm her down big time, Just have your doctor point out some good tips on using it, since you are 14 weeks you may have some trouble finding it on your own at first.
Does the hormons’ change after miscarriage stay after?
Q: I was wondering…hormones change during miscarriage, has anyone felt that the change stayed for some time after the miscarriage happened? If I had pregnancy signs, and then miscarriage I think it was miscarriage since it looked like period ) but I still have some of the preg signs (breast pain, dizziness) even though the miscarriage(period?)had happened a week ago. The home test was negative 3 days after the period(miscarriage) happened. What do you think? Has any one had weird situation as mine? Thanks.
A: I think you would definitely be able to tell if you’re experiencing a miscarriage or if you’re getting blood as a sign of spontaneous abortion- meaning you’ll get a miscarriage soon.. That happened to me, and I felt perfectly fine but I was bleeding like a period (not much pain at all) but the baby was not.. I went to the OBGYN and they said that in the next week I had to have a DNC unless I had a miscarriage.. And trust me when I say that was the worst pain the world, also because I was almost 3 months along. I’d still get checked out though just because i’ve met a couple ppl who actually had babies unaware of being pregnant..
