Fast food Grilled Chicken, what exactly is in these products?
Q: I love eating healthy, Combining protein/carbs(from veggies/fruits) and healthy fats. When I have to eat out at a fast food place, I wont touch the burgers or fries- but because i have to eat with the other person- i;ll just get a grilled chicken salad – or get a chicken burger with a side salad and skip the bun. BUt- what exactly is in these chickens? Has anyone worked at a popular fast food place and cooked up these chickens? lol And how do they prepare them? With butter/oil or what? I just dont want it to be smothered in butter and fat! (fast food places I am talking about; McDonalds/Pizza Pizza/Haverys/Wendys) Any help would make me feel so much better about eating out. 🙂
A: I work at McDonald’s, and we spray the grill with margarine to prevent sticking on a grill that’s set at 425 degrees. The chicken is frozen, and set on there and covered. After the timer goes off (I can’t remember how long it’s on there for the life of me) you remove the cover then flip them over. Minus the margarine part, it’s not too bad for you. Definitely much much healthier than the crispy chicken which we fry the hell out of.

Q: I am 150 lbs and 5’5. I over eat every day i think… tons and tons of carbs. Example: Yesterday i had: Bagel w/ cream cheese… Fiber One yogart… Cheese on cheese sandwich crackers… Lean Cuisine (pasta in it)… some bread n butter… 2 bowls of cereal…shrimp fried rice… french fries… and a piece of toast n butterSO… if I do this for 5 days will I start dropping pounds??Each Morning do 30 min on Eliptical … and climb 6 flights of stairs 3-4 times thru the afternoonBreakfast Options:1) 2 slices whole grain bread w/ 2 table spoons peanutbutter2) 2 hard boiled eggs and fruitLunch Options;1) Tuna, raw veggies, and some whole grain crackers2) Lean Cuisine meal3) Big salad with raw veggies and grilled chicken… balsamic vinegaretteDinner Options”1) Steamed Dumpling and Egg Drop soup from Chinese place2) Soy ‘chicken’ patty… baked sweet potato… green beans3) Egg Beaters and 2 slices whole grain toastanother 30 min oneliptical and resistance arm bandsAlso I will only drink water, green tea, and Special K Protein water….
A: that’s a very good diet! make sure you include fish and turkey in your diet! a LOT of protein. and give yourself more options because that’s gonna be hard to stick to.be sure to eat small portions and include snacks 5-7 small meals a day. it keeps your metabolism going which will help you shed the pounds. never eat til you’re stuffed. trust me you’ll be hungry again within 2-3 hours. the higher you boost your metabolism, the more you’ll be hungry and as long as you are working out you will definately lose weight.a protein shake could serve as a snack or get a meal replacement protein shake.also, don’t deprive yourself of the things you want because eventually when you do give in and eat it… you’ll eat way more than if you were to just eat a small portion when you’re craving it.1-3 lbs a week is good when dieting and losing weight the healthy way. but pounds is not important. if you’re excercising, most likely you will shed inches, tone, and see weight lost later… you will start to feel a difference in your clothes before you see the results on the scale so don’t stess over that.that’s all i can think of for now even though you didn’t ask me for all this but if i can help you anymore, email me: [email protected]
