According to my BMR, how many calories should I burn each day to lose a pound each week?
Q: I’m a 19 year old male, weighing about 155 pounds and my BMR is about 1766. I have heard that 1 pound = 3500 calories and that it is recommended to lose 500 calories each day to lose 1 pound a week. So, since my BMR is 1766, does that mean I burn 1766 calories each day for just blood circulation, breathing, nervous system, and etc? So to lose a pound each week, will it be alright if I eat 1766 calories each day, and then burning off 500 calories? Is this how the whole BMR thing works?
A: that sounds right if you are saying that its 500 less a day in each meal …and at the end of the week its equevalent to 3500 then yess thats a pound a week ……… this is how you do it ..its not 500 a week its a day …… and yes you do use that calorie intake just to keep going …….
How many calories/weight watcher points must I consume each day to lose weight?
Q: I used to be on weight watchers, and I was eating about 24 points a day. I’ve recently begun taking an appetite suppressent. I was surprised that it not only works, but works *amazingly*. I’m only eating about 400-800 calories a day, usually not because I’m hungry but because my fiancée makes me.I don’t know if this will actually make me lose weight though, because I thought I needed a certain amount of calories to lose weight.I’m not concerned with what a recommended diet would say. I want to know if I can lose weight consuming 900 or fewer calories a day.I am really not interested in hearing anyone preach to me. Suppressents are what work with my busy schedule. Please, just answer the question about calories and leave everything else at the door.Giving me a lecture won’t get you voted best answer.
A: you cold lose like 400-500 in one day and eat less like u do right now
How many calories should I consume each day? My percentage of fat consumed each day?
Q: I’m 5’7, 14, and I weight 149 pounds. I want to weigh 125. On thedailyplate.com they have it so when you enter your foods in it shows your percentage of carbs, protein, and fat consumed in the foods eaten. What’s the recommended percentage of fat? Carbs? I exercise everyday (sometimes skip a day though). I go to the YMCA and burn about 300-500 calories and then speed walk about 4-5 miles. I’m not really seeing any results. I eat around 800-1100 calories each day. I don’t eat sweets at all or anything that’s high in fat. Should I lower it any more? Because I’m seriously not losing any weight, and my clothes aren’t getting bigger on me or anything, and I’ve been doing this for over a month.
A: Woah! first of all you do not need to loose any weight at all. All you can do is tone up. According to this site you are in the category of the normal weight BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9 (Normal Weight). And you’re tall!Second you’re calorie intake is way too low, no one should ever eat below 1200 calories for females, and you’re 14 so you need all that energy to burn. The reason you’re loosing weight is because you’re body doesn’t need to loose any weight. Just eat healthy foods, no processed junk and you’ll be fine. For the exercise part you just have to do things that you enjoy like dancing, swimming or join a sports team, anything that you would enjoy.
