- With these signs, do you think I'm pregnant?
- Q: I had unprotected sex on the 16th of this month. I have 6 or so days until I expect my period to be due.Yesterday, I randomly felt VERY sharp pains in my stomach. The pain was so severe that my entire body tensed up and I couldn't move without the pain growing worse. This lasted a good 3 minutes (seemed so much longer) and I've never had anything like it happen before. It felt as if my insides were being ripped in half. Then today I felt really... different. Both emotionally and physically. I felt withdrawn and extremely dizzy all day. I've also had a buzzing headache the entire day. What's weird is... Just 30 minutes ago, when I went to take my shower, I realized my breasts were very tender, and maybe even bigger than usual. I also had a worse headache, and from my ankles to my knees were starting to give out. I was also having period-like cramps. The pain was overwhelming and I almost passed out while taking my shower. The thing is... I'm a paranoid person. I'll admit it. Since I realized I could end up pregnant, I've been on the extra look-out for my ovulation to begin. Unless if I somehow missed it, (which makes no sense) it hasn't happened! So I don't see how I could be pregnant... I also have issues with my thyroid and lately I've been more stressed than in my entire life worrying about *maybe* becoming a pregnant teen. ***Do you think maybe I'm "experiencing" these signs only because it's all in my head due to so much thought on the subject???Please don't leave any rude/harsh answers. Whether I am indeed pregnant or not my stress alone is punishing me. And for all those curious... I'm in a 100% stable relationship with the daddy and WILL be keeping the baby if it comes down to it.Please give me your thoughts. I did some research and should be able to take a test by today. I already have one, but am waiting until I have to use the bathroom again. I'm also very scared for the answer.
- A: I had crampy-achy feelings kind of like my period was going to start, but different. I didn't want DH to touch me on my belly, I was just real sensitive. I had brownish spotting starting at about 12 days past ovulation (dpo), and started urinating more frequently around 10dpo. Actually between the frequent urination and pelvic aches, I truly thought I had a bladder infection!I can tell you though (after trying to conceive for over 4 years) that if you think there is a chance you might be pregnant your body can make you THINK you are and you will get every symptom in the book!Try not to stress out yet! Just remember, IF you had sex during ovulation, there is only a 20 - 25% chance of getting pregnant. Its a little early to take a test and have it be accurate. I know the "early reader" tests claim to work that early, but you are most likely wasting your money and will probably get a negative result whether you are or are not pregnant. Save the test a few more days! If you wait until about 3 days or so before your period should arrive it will be more accurate. You can also get tests at the Dollar Tree for just $1 if you feel the need to take several tests...
