Q: Im 14 and started my period half way through the year. Why do people say you HAVE to wear a tampon to swim??? A: I never used tampons when swimming. I know this probably sounds gross, but I don’t think so. In gym we HAVE to swim or the swim coach fails us. Yeah, she does. Some girls might use tampons but I don’t. I’ve tried five times and… I just can’t use a tampon. So it’s just pads for me. And when I’m on my period, I always wear JUST my bathing suit. I stop when I’m in water, so I’ve never needed tampons, which is good. Hope I helped!
