Does anyone know an at home solution to turn brass to the black iron look? I?
Q: I would like to turn my brass cabinet handles to the black iron look. I have heard of many yrs ago (of course when i was not interested) on a home show of a home solution to soak your handles in that would turn them. I dont want to paint them I want as natural looking as possible. Right now there in between brass and antique color but I would like them to be more old and rustic looking? Any suggestions?
A: Flat Black spray paint, have done it a lot, also after item is painted put a clear coat in spray on. Super easy.
Can someone answer these questions? 10 points?
Q: I did the first half of this but these remaining questions I’m not sure about.—————————————Explain whether each of the following factors would increase, decrease, or not affect the percent copper in a brass sample obtained from a theoretical experiment (analysis of copper in a brass sample).1. The mass of the copper wire was recorded incorrectly larger than its actual value.2. the mass of the brass was recorded incorrectly lower than its actual value.3. The copper wire solution was diluted to 100 mL instead of 50 mL4. The copper wire and brass solutions were both diluted to 100 mL instead of 50 mL.5. A student wet the filter paper with deionized water to hold it in place before filtering the tin (IV) oxide from the brass solution.6. In the quantitative transfer of standard copper solution, one drop (0.05 mL) of the solution was lost.
A: 1. Since the numerator would remain the same but the denominator be larger, the result would be an apparent decrease in the percent copper.2. By similar logic, this would increase the apparent percent copper.3. This would result in only half as much apparent copper – decrease4. No effect5. A SLIGHT increase in the apparent percent copper as the brass solution would be slightly more dilute6. A slight decrease in the apparent percent copper.
