Who says your too young to be married, your thoughts?
Q: LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – A law passed this year allows Arkansans of any age — even infants — to marry if their parents agree, and the governor may have to call a special session to fix the mistake, lawmakers said Friday. The legislation was intended to establish 18 as the minimum age to marry but also allow pregnant teenagers to marry with parental consent, bill sponsor Rep. Will Bond said. An extraneous “not” in the bill, however, allows anyone who is not pregnant to marry at any age if the parents allow it.”It’s clearly not the intent to allow 10-year-olds or 11-year-olds to get married,” Bond said. “The legislation was screwed up.” The bill reads: “In order for a person who is younger than eighteen (18) years of age and who is not pregnant to obtain a marriage license, the person must provide the county clerk with evidence of parental consent to the marriage.”A code revision commission — which fixes typographical and technical errors in laws — had tried to correct the mistake, but a group of legislators said Friday the commission went beyond its powers.”You’re either pregnant or you’re not pregnant,” Sen. Dave Bisbee said. “Rarely will that be a typographical error.”The Arkansas Legislative Council asked the independent commission to reverse its correction. Several lawmakers said a special session may be necessary.”We need a special session to fix this,” Sen. Sue Madison said. “I am concerned about pedophiles coming to Arkansas to find parents who are willing to sign a very young child’s consent.”Before the new law took effect July 31, girls could get married with parental consent at 16 and boys at 17.The Legislature formally adjourned its session in May and is not scheduled to meet again until January 2009, unless Gov. Mike Beebe calls a special session. Beebe said he wanted to look at all options for correcting the error before deciding whether to call a special session.
A: I think it’s better to decide to get married at and older age than 18, because by then, most will be a bit wiser at their decision.
Who is going to take the H1N1 vaccine shot?
Q: We got some papers in school about it and i thought i should take it but then some people started saying that it GIVES you the swine flu, which sounds kinda stupid to me…. But you never know =D lol. Here’s some information that we got:1. 2009 H1N1 Influenza (Which was earlier called Swine Flu) is a type of flu caused by a new strain of influenza virus. Because it has spread to many countries, it has been declared a pandemic influenza strain.Like other flu viruses,2009 H1N1 spreads from person to person through coughing, sneezing, nasal secretions, and sometimes through handling objects contaminated with the virus.Signs of 2009 H1N1 can include:Fatigue, Fever, Sore Throat, Muscle Aches, Chills, Coughing, Sneezing. Some people may get diarrhea and vomiting. Most people recover within a week. But some people get pneumonia or other serious illnesses. Some people are hospitalized, and some die. :(.. Vaccines are being made to PROTECT AGAINST 2009 H1N1 influenza. These vaccines are produced just like seasonal flu vaccines. They are expected to be as effective as seasonal flu vaccines. They will not prevent “influenza-like” illnesses caused by other viruses. They will not prevent seasonal flu.Groups recommended to receive 2009 H1N1 vaccine first are:pregnant women; people who live with or care for infants younger than 6 months of age; Health care and emergency personnel; Anyone from 6 months through 24 years of age; Anyone from 25 through 64 with certain chronic medical conditions or weakened immune system. These groups should also be vaccinated:Healthy 25-64 years old and adults 65 and older.Ok i’m getting tired so you may google whatever I didn’t include! =D Tell me what you think and if you are or aren’t getting the shot! thankz!!!!
A: No, im not. But vaccines ARE a little of the sickness that prepares your immune for the real thing.
I wanted to know the earliest signs of being pregnant.? ?
Q: I am almost 10 days late. My period is the same every month occasionally i will be about a day late. But nothing out of the norm for me. As of this month jan 2009. I am supposed to start on the 18 it is not the 27 of january And still no sign of a period. I took 2 tests which both came out negative. I did one at night and one in the morning. about 2 and a half weeks prior i went to the bathroom and noticed there was a little spotting kind of a brownish reddish color ( sorry for going into detail i just want to make sure i get correct responses back.) I have a few symptoms which are similar to that of a period. Bloating mild cramping. No soreness of the breast yet. But i am most definitely always exhausted. I pee more frequently. I get up in the middle of the night to pee. which i never used to do. I was able to hold it forever! im not a morning person so getting up to pee was never an option to me lol i slept till i could take it anymore. But now its to the point where i have to get up instantly to go to the bathroom. My boyfriend and i have been together for almost a year. We use condoms often and if we dont i use other forms of a female contraceptive. I know there is a possibility of me being pregnant, But like every other young woman i am almost 22 years old and thousands of miles away from home so i am a little scared. If anyone has anything to share preferably from one who has experienced pregnancy i would be greatly appreciative. If not its one more test and to the doctor i go!
A: I knew i was pregnant with each of my kids before i took a test and even before my period was late. My breasts just got bigger…i mean they were a little sore but you could see a big change in my breast size. Then i took a test and sure enough was pregnant. No sooner after i found out the morning sickness ( witch lasted about 2 1/2months) came and uhhh lol…just thankful its over with now and i am 28wks along! =)
