Q: I’m not planning on using this instead of protection. He will still wear a condom. I just wanted to know what time a woman is least fertile, for more reassurance. And I know, even with both of those factors, it is still possible to get pregnant.(condom breaks, is misused, etc.)
A: You can find ovulation calculators online- you put in the starting date of your most recent period and the length of your cycle (if its regular enough to track) and it shows you the times you are most likely fertile because you will be ovulating. The rhythm method isn’t fail safe, but at least you’re still using a condom 🙂

Q: I know that it’s nearly impossible to predict but when is it least likely? A week before your period or after?
A: Any day of a menstrual cycle a woman can become pregnant, there are really no ‘non-fertile’ days; some days may have a stronger possiblity than others, others have a less possibility – you never know when either one really is. The best thing to do is to use protection at all times.
When is it least likely for a women to get pregnant? before, during, or after their period?
Q:
A: Your cycle starts counting with the first day of your period. Let’s say your cycle is 28 days — then day 1 is when you start bleeding, and day 28 would be the day before you get your period. You are most fertile around day 10-14. This is when you ovulate, or release your egg from your ovary. If your egg makes it to your uterus without getting fertilized then you start your period. If your egg became fertilized shortly after you ovulated, then you become pregnant, but you won’t know it for two more weeks until you miss your period. If you have VERY regular periods (and we’re talking so regular you could pay the water bill by it) — then the liklihood of you getting pregnant during your period, the first few days after your period, or the last few days — is unlikly. HOWEVER — it is RARE to be this regular, and things like stress, sickness, antibiotics or other issues can make a VERY regular person late — which would make her fertile at a time which she thought was safe to have sex.Don’t try to not get pregnant by not having sex at specific times of the month. Instead, use condoms EVERY TIME you have sex, or get your butt to the nearest women’s health clinic for free or reduced birth control pills. This is completely confidential as well. These don’t protect against STD’s, however.Best of luck.
