Why don’t many women realize that many of us men nowadays just don’t ever want to get married and have kids?

Q: Hi all! I have several female friends and some of them constantly talk about getting married one day and having kids. Most of them don’t even have a boyfriend. It seems that getting married and having kids is what most women dream of from the moment their born. As a straight man living in the US in 2009, I think they’re going to be very disappointed when they get a little older because the availability of men who want to get married and have kids is definitely shrinking. I see it even when I’m around my male friends. I’m in that same pool myself. I love being single and I don’t ever want kids because I could never bring someone into this terrible world we live in. I’m sorry to say that but you all know we really do live in a terrible world overall so don’t try to deny it either. A: Some do realize it of course, but yes, many don’t realize or they don’t accept it.There are a lot of arrogant, righteous women these days (sorry) who think that what they want should be what everyone wants. That because they want to get married and have kids that men should too.But like the guy above said, there’s nothing in it for us. Who needs it, really? If you love each other, that’s all that matters. You don’t have to have that love approved by any institution. Love is beyond that.And about kids, yeah, I don’t want any because they’re a responsibility that I don’t feel I have time for. There’s too much in life to do as an individual. I don’t want to throw all my time and money away on a new life that really isn’t necessary to the world.Anyways… women have to accept that men are not the same as them, especially modern men. We’re wired differently. We want to maintain independence, and we don’t see a practical reason for marriage. It’s just a big charade that costs a ton of money to us, so why bother?
