I don’t like Oprah at all. She stabbed Hillary Clinton in the back. She is a racist and has give huge amounts of money for the Obama campaign. But I cannot believe her to be a molester, maybe a lesbian, but not a molester.

Is this wrong to tell my sisters to watch?
Q: 2 of my sisters were molested as children by men my alcoholic mother knew. I am so terrified of anyone touching/hurting my daughter. It’s my worst nightmare. Here’s my question:Oprah is havig a show on Monday and they are interviewing child molesters about what they look for in a child, how they get a child to not tell their parents, and how they pull it off. I think it’s very important for everyone with children to see… is it rude if I send an email to my sisters to DVR the show and watch it? I want for them to know what to look for but I don’t want for it to bring them to a bad place or have flash backs. One of my sisters likes to pretend it never happened.I don’t want to make anyone feel bad. I think we should educate ourselves to stop a cycle of violence. I wll be watching for sure. I just am on the fence about telling my sisters maybe they should watch. I have 4 sisters total.I forgot to add all my sisters have kids.
A: No. I absolutely do not think it would be rude of you to email your sisters to record the show. It’s a really important show, and yes, it’s extremely uncomfortable. How could it NOT be uncomfortable (and then some) to watch Oprah interview child molesters about their heinous, despicable acts? And that’s precisely the point: it is so heinous and despicable that we need to see. We need to be able to recognize the behavior, signs of the behavior, and know what to do. Knowledge is power.Your sisters will ultimately make their own decisions, but I would absolutely send the email. Your intentions are about as good as they get. I hope they will watch. Good luck. (I’ll be watching.)

A: Being someone who was molested as a child (long story) , I have a hard time watching those shows, but at the same time it pushes me to try and get more people aware of the dangers of it. I would tell them about the show, but don’t push it, it is a very hard thing to get over and it stays with you forever. Just tell them about it and move on.
