Possible To Get Girl Pregnant With Irregular Period Using Protection?
Q: Is it possible to get a girl pregnant with a irregular period using protection? Its been 3 days since we did it and she says shes Tired, irritated, dizzy at times, want a lot of food, stressed &hot or could it just be something else? Sounds too early to have symptoms? Her last period was over 2 months ago……and before that was 4-5 months
A: Having sex makes it possible to get someone pregnant. As far as her having symptoms, highly unlikely that early, but some people “claim” to know instantly, I’d have her take a pregnancy test if she doesn’t get her period, until then, I wouldn’t worry, but continue to use protection, and don’t for a minute think that because she has irregular periods that she is incapable of getting pregnant. best of luck.

Is it Possible to Get Pregnant with Irregular Periods?
Q: Ok, So i have always had irregular periods. I never know when im going to get my periods and when they do come they only last roughly 2-3 days, if not less.My partner and i have been together for 4 years with no previous partners. I have never been on the pill and don’t plan to. We are planning to start a family but have been using the ‘when it happens, it happens’ quote. I just want to know if anyone else has experienced this and has had children. We are young, fit and healthy adults and love children. Currently it has been 4 months since my last normal period. I do have a wet white discharge that comes every few days but i want to know if its possible for me to be ovulating still without getting my periods and if so can I become pregnant as we are having unprotected sex on a regular basis?Thankyou for taking the time to read this.
A: The most common cause of irregular period is PCOS which is a common fertility condition – why not get it diagnosed if you plan to get pregnant sooner rather than later? it is not normal to have irregular period especially 4 months since last period. That means that you are not ovulating as frequently. It is very hard to get pregnant if you only ovulating 2-3 times a year and you cannot predict when that it is the case. PCOS can be easily addressed with med (metformin) and diet and almost all women with PCOS (irregular period) can and do eventually get pregnant. It took us 4 years of TTC for us to get pregnant – didn’t get it diagnosed for 3 years, and finally diagnosed PCOS and got pregnant with help of metformin to manage PCOS. Good luck.
