Is it bad to do this when you are pregnant?
Q: My mother in law said that i am not allowed to go bowling or play golf or do anything fun like that with being pregnant. She is kinda crazy so i was wondering if what she said is true or is it ok if you do it when you are pregnant. I went and hit golf balls in my first pregnancy when i was eight months pregnant and nothing happened. My dad says that it is good exercise for me. Of course i don;t do it all the time and don;t over do it when i do do it. I was just wondering if it really is bad for you to do.I just starting my third trimester, and i would ask my doctor but i have not chosen one yet, they make you go through all the doctors in my obgyn office before you pick one and i have three weeks before i go back to the doctor so i thought i would just ask yall if you have had any experience with it and if it is ok.Thanks for you input.
A: If it is something you have been doing regularly, I wouldn't worry. I bowled while I was pregnant the first time, and at the begining of this pregnancy, but I have slacked off and haven't been bowling for about 6 months, and doubt I will again until after the baby is born just because my balance has changed and it isn't something I am use to. As far as bowling goes, it depends on the weight of your ball and your skill level also. If you are a typical woman who bowls often and decently, you might throw a 13-15 lbs ball. At the lowest point in your arm swing, because of momentum and force, the ball weight is putting a strain of about 5-8 lbs more. Some doctors tell you not to lift more than 20lbs in your second trimester, so that might no be advisable. The other risk is sticking on the approach and falling down, or losing you balance when you go into a slide. So, weigh the risk factors and if you have been doing it steadily. Otherwise, giving up bowling for another three months won't kill you. I have absolutely no clue about golf, because I don't play, but I don't see where hitting the ball would be bad...maybe the twisting?
ok this might be gross but i need to ask it... when i do a bowl movement there is blood in my poop!?
