A: When I was pregnant, I was told not to do it. But I see lots of pregnant women doing it these days. When you decide on a couple of different brands you might want to use, just call the nurse at your doctor’s office and ask them which (if any) is safest for you and your baby. As far as frizziness, I used to use Paul Mitchell Skinny Smooth. That works well, but use it sparingly.

Miscarried once, now 7 weeks along, some questions…?

Q: i miscarried about a year ago and now i’m 7weeks along. what are my chances of having this one go full term? i didn’t know i was prego’s the first time so i prob. was only like a month along. This time i reconized the signs and have been taken better care of my self this time.can you die your hair when your pregnant?i feel like i should be having my period, just like a dull pressure sensation down there, no blood just that bloating feeling. is this normal?i have been burping and feel like i have to take a #2 but i dont have to? is this normal? should you be crossing your legs, or leaning over so your stomach is like crunched up? is this bad? Oh, and when i stand for long periods of time, esp. at night i get very hot, and then get really cold. is this normalsorry 1st baby, and i want to make sure it holds this time… thanks

A: I don’t know what your “odds” are of having this one go to full term exactly, but I don’t think they’re any different than any other woman’s out there, unless the Drs have found some type of problem. Your previous miscarriage could have just been one of those things though. I’m very sorry for your loss. However, congratulations on being pregnant again!!! 🙂 :)To answer your questions….1. Some people say you can dye your hair while being pregnant, though it’s better to do highlights than actually dye, and don’t do any of it in your first trimester. 2. The dull pressure and feeling like you’re going to have your period is 100% normal!! That’s why it can be so difficult for it to really sink in when you’re first pregnant. 🙂 3. Burping was one of my first pregnancy symptoms! I know that sounds SO weird, but I’ve never been a burpy person, and I started to think something was wrong w/ me, or I’d visited the willy wonka factory or something (hopefully you’ve seen that movie) lol.4. There’s nothing wrong with you leaning over your stomach, or even sleeping on your stomach at this point. Later on it will get MUCH more difficult to bend around, so enjoy it while you can! As for crossing your legs, I was told to try not to, because it can cause vericose veins very easily while you are pregnant! I still do it anyways… though I try not to… no vericose veins yet. Lol.5. Your body temperature will fluctuate all over the map with your increased hormones. I am usually always cold, even in the summer… but since I’ve been pregnant, I actually don’t need to wear a coat indoors! Amazing! In my first trimester, I had the chills a lot, but then I would get hot flashes and suddenly be ripping my coat off. Hehe.So, yes, everything you’re saying sounds quite normal!!! 🙂 Believe me, you will get a LOT more interesting things going on in your body… Everytime you think you’re done w/ “new experiences” being pregnant, another crazy symptom pops up.
