First of all, no-one would be able to tell if they were only 3 weeks pregnant (this means a week after ovulation!) if your going off your ovulation, then yes it can feel spongy & swollen – the reason for the swelling is, increased blood…

does your cervix swell just before your period starts?
Q: Normally just after i finish my period i can still feel my cervix, but it is soft and does not seem to be as big (swolllen) as when im due for my period. Normally the day before my period starts it seems more swollen than usual and alot bigger, however im not due for another atleast 5-7 days and it is already very swollen. My doctor believes i have cysts on my ovaries and possibly endometriosis, and me and my partner have been trying to conceive now for 4 months with still no luck, i know its not that long, but i am beginning to feel doubtful.I read that the cervix swells when you become pregnant but it couldn’t swell that early on could it? Just wondering that and is it normal for it to swell before the period starts??? any help would be great 🙂

Q: I had unprotected sex while my period was on an seven days later I feel nauseous at night fine during the day but tired all day an night I feel really dizzy to an my lower belly feels full bloated or swollen an curtain food I can not stand to smell to an when I am nauseous can’t stand to look at food an I checked my cervix an it is really soft could I be pregnant just wanted to know what you think please don’t leave rude comments.
A: Your cervix may become soft, but at this point… it would be way too early to tell that. Your other symptoms sound like you may be pregnant. However, you can have those symptoms at other times rather than just during pregnancy. If you are already late for your period, then take a test and find out if you are pregnant. I always recommend waiting until almost a week after your missed period to test with an hpt simply because it may not be as accurate if you test before then, even with an “early response” test. Also, remember to use your first urine of the morning as that is when your hormone level is at its highest. Do not drink a lot of water before testing because that can dilute the hormones. Good luck:)
