Can you take Cranberry pills for a UTI while pregnant?
Q: I have Triple Strength Cranberry pills. I also love the diet cranberry juice, is it okay to take any of these while pregnant?
A: the diet cranberry with splenda is safe, but not as effective as the cranberry 100% juice. i’m not sure about the pills, but b/c they are considered an “herbal supplement” they don’t have to hold to the same strict standards as FDA approved foods and drugs (not that the FDA does a much better job lol)so it’d be better to run it by your OB first
Are there any good diet pills that actually work?
Q: It’s five months since i’ve had my first baby & i really want to lose the rest of the weight i put on while i was pregnant.I’m five foot two, & before i was pregnant i was about eight stone & a UK size 8. Now i’m about nine to nine & a half stone (i don’t weigh myself regularly) & a UK size10/12.I walk lots & am always running around after my daughter & partner. I clean the whole house every day etc. So i’m getting plenty of exercise even if it isn’t directly down the gym. Also, i don’t really eat much. I can’t follow any specific diets, or cook much out of low fat cookery books as i am really picky with food. I know about healthy eating & exercise etc but it really doesn’t seem to be working anymore – the weight is coming off so slowly. It’s really starting to get to me.I want to know if anyone who is fairly slim anyways has used diet pills & if so which ones & did they work etc. & whether you did much exercise & what you ate while you were on them. Also, if there are any good ones – where you can get them in the UK & how much they are.I’ve seen lots of reviews on websites claiming fantastic results & stuff like that – but it seems most of the people taking them were very overweight. Please spare me the lecture on diet & healthy eating & how diet pills are soooo bad for you. I’m really not interested.=]

Kidney complications due to diet/ephedrine pill use…or…pregnant?
Q: I would go to the doctor about this…but right now I don’t have insurance because I haven’t worked long enough at my current job. Anyways..I pop ephedrine pills sometimes , although I used to take them all the time with no complications. Well now, it seems as though I stomach sticks out a lil below my belly button..& I’ve always had a flat stomach being skinny. At the same time it could be that I’m pregnant, although I’ve had light “period” like bleeding each month since I had unprotected sex..(yah I regret it!) but sh*t happens…anyways I’ve heard from other people that you can still have your period while pregnant..& test negative on tests. The last test I took..last Friday, it showed a VERY faint line (cross) on a EPT test. Like I said it all could be from kidney problems or something, but I have no problems urinating..my back hurts though. If pregnant..where does the “bump” start to show..right under the belly button? I’m just a lil worried that’s all 🙁
A: On the test, what is it supposed to do if your are pregnant? I bought the ones that had two lines for pregnant, one for not. If the cross means your pregnant, then you just might be. Did you take it in the morning or at night? The best time to take one is at night. Yes it is very true that you can still have your period and be pregnant and the tests will come out negative. If you don’t have insurance, go to planned parenting or The hospital. Planned parenting tests you for free, I do believe, and the hospital here charges you $15. The hospital does blood work, so they will know for sure if you are pregnant or not. Good luck and I hope it turns out for the best.
