Q: Im 16 weeks pregnant and the last couple of days I have been feeling abdominal pain. It’s nothing thats stopping me from doing my everyday things just more uncomfortable. Is it normal to get pains like this? I know that once you reach 12 weeks your chances for a miscarriage go down but Im still afraid that I would have a silent miscarriage or something. Also can getting really scared or upset cause you to have a miscarriage?
A: I didn’t have cramps at the beginning but I did feel achy and it was like you said uncomfortable but not really painful. I was worried too because I had already had a miscarriage 2 months before at 5 weeks. It was apparently just the uterus stretching and everybody gets it. However, that may or may not be what you are experiencing..everybody is different. But get a doctors opinion if it will help. Most offices have a ob counselor and you can talk with them they will let you know if you should come in and they will check for fetal movement and heartbeat. It is the only way to be 100% sure.

We heard our baby’s heart rate at around 155 bpm 🙂 I had a miscarriage right b4 this one at 7 weeks so every passing day is a blessing!I have a free ultrasound tomorrow at a clinic just to see my baby. Do you think they’ll be able to determine the sex? And what can I eat/drink before the ultrasound so my baby moves more when we see him/her on the ultrasound? Thanks in advance!
A: Drink some Orange Juice, the baby will be moving like crazy!! 🙂 They should be able to tell what it is, as long as the baby cooperates!! Good luck and congrats!!
