Can pregnant women use self tanner?
Q: I’m newly pregnant & with it being right in the middle of summer, I just want to know if pregnant women can use sunless tanning products. Thanks!
A: You should check with your doctor. I just go out 2-3 times a week for about an hour to keep up with a healthy glow [not a sunburn or a deep tan.] Some sun exposure is healthy for you, and the sun is free!Edit — Not saying you have to slather on the tanning lotion and lay out in the sun for hours on end. We have a pool, so I swim around for about an hour a few times a week and this keeps my color up. That’s not dangerous. I think it’s so funny how everybody is so worried that ANY exposure to the sun will result in skin cancer. I can throw on some SPF 15 and still get color. Your body is meant to enjoy some sun exposure!
