Q: I have heard that female dogs get their “Period” the same as humans. My dog hasn’t started hers yets, but I am wondering how old she will be when she starts (shes 4 months old now), and what I can do to keep her from getting blood on the floor. I know most of you are going to tell me to get her fixed, and I am, but I have to save up enough money first and I know it will cost close to $200 Canadian, and my local vet doesn’t accept paying bay the month, or anything liek that.
