Gargle with salt water and/or use honey and lemon juice. One teaspoon of the honey and lemon every few hours should help with the sore throat and get him back to screaming.

Q: I’ve gone through a lot of stress lately and also had a cold this past week. However, Im a receptionist and I need my voice.its not totally gone but I sound horribleDo you know of any remedies that might help?
A: Virtually all simple, short term voice loss is due to viral inflammation. It is thus self limiting. Best management is to rest the voice, take plenty of fluids and use paracetamol or ibuprofen for any accompanying pain or fever. Never gargle with either salt water or aspirin, which is in fact irritant and increases the local inflammation. If there is local soreness topical sprays such as Diflam or Chloraseptic may be useful.

Q: is there anything that can help me make my voice stronger cause i sing like paramores song and flyleafs and evenesence good but i just loose my voice sometimes and its affects how i sing so any help?
A: Your voice is like a muscle. It needs a workout (40 minutes or more) every day to stay in shape. And you definitely need to do warm-up exercises before you sing. Do scales, arpeggios, scales down, etc, and on different vowels. Start at a mid-tone and work your way up a little at a time (like c-scale, then c-sharp scale, etc) until you get up really high. Then do it down into your low range.
