A: There are so many different generics of Xanax (Alprazolam). If your doctor didn’t change your strength, then the pharmacy just gave you a different manufacturer. If you look on the bottle, or the label that came with it, it should say what the color and shape of the pill your supposed to be getting should be, along with any markings that should be on it.
